The cavern angels pack seems like a missed opportunity to do something for the Rebel Y-wing. Instead we're stuck with a U-wing. I've got no problem with the U-wing being fixed, I just wish they'd done it differently. It would have been pretty easy to release a pack with an X-wing and Y-wing model that included cards and templates for the U-wing in the manner that Most Wanted did for the Firespray. I'm sure everything for the X-wing will be awesome and the U-wing stuff will be fine, but I don't want to be stuck with having to pay for and own a large base ship that I don't want just to get to a small ship that I do want.

It would be convenient if they did, but that's not how they do things.

Nope they just Errata them out of the ship they were packed with.
Yeah we are looking at 20 point X-wings now which means you will never see a rookie pilot again. This is still adding more to the accretion pile then it is updating ships. I really think they should look at putting in some sort of card rotation and find a way to keep the models in play but just cycle out upgrade and pilot cards.
So instead of having the choice of taking rookies or the new, cheaper generics, we just shouldn't be allowed to take rookies?

Well I mean you can take 1 point per ship penalty if you want. Nothing is there to stop you from making subpar lists.
I'm just saying there should be ways to cut down on the amount of useless cards that are now in X-wing. Everything from Wave 1 is slowly getting displaced by the newer waves and if not not it ends up getting smashed with the nerf hammer. Also taking a look at the new player perspective. Oh cool I get to fly X-wings, yes but you will also want this expansion first for those pilots and that expansion. Also don't use this upgrade this one that cost the same (or less even ) works better than that lousy core upgrade.
Right, I'm just saying that if PS 2 rookies become obsolete, what does making a rule against taking them accomplish?
Will I still own the cards? Yes.
Will I continue to not use them? Yes
What changes if FFG says "you know that card you don't use? Well now you can't ."

Except they did that for the "Most Wanted" expact.
Ofcourse that was part of introducing a new faction, but then this could be considered part of introducing a "Rogue One" theme/"Rebellion"-subfaction.
First off, we got a lot of what we wanted very loudly for a long time:
- X wing fix
- s foils with improved maneuverability
- U wing fix
- possibly cost reduction on torpedo slot
- probably 20pt X wings
- possibly K2SO
- TIE Reaper, even on small base
- lots of imperial crew
- Krennic
This is all awesome and I don‘t try to take away from it.
But.
It does feel like an unused opportunity not to use the battle of Scariff more. Partisans look cool, yes. But the battle shows us General Merrick, and awesome Y-wings, and TIEs in swarms. I would have preferred a battle of Scarrif pack with X and Y wing fixes, and TIE swarm fix. I do not believe that we‘ll get another Xwing anytime soon, so I‘m afraid that this chance is gone now. But who knows?
What we do know is that we just got an awesome announcement with many things we wanted, and we should maybe focus on that instead of missed chances.
How hav people overlooked the best part of this expansion?

Nah, I don't buy that argument for a moment 5 x (probably naked) Cavern Dwellers would be your entire list. 2 or 3 x Rookies plus 1 or 2 x Named Pilots with the new upgrades, FAA etc would likely outmatch the PS1s every single time.

WHen did oyu ever see Rookie Pilots before?
**** If it was X and Y wing I would have bought 2 or 3 packs to upgrade all my x/y-wings. But This... 1U-Wing is enough for me, 2 is plenty I won't invest in more.

Next opportunity is the inevitable Hammerhead corvette so don’t worry. It’s got to happen as the Hammerhead is cool and there are not enough Rebel Y-Wing pilots.
I’m getting a little nervous that TIE Fighters are being forgotten and thought they may have put one with a large base Reaper. Didn’t think they’d do the Reaper as small base.
