A Wedding Invite from Terrinoth...

By Watercolour Dragon, in Genesys

As it is/was Valentines Day here's a preview of a wedding your heroes will soon be able to crash and a map you can use straight away for your fantasy RPG games- revealing locations as players enter them, for ease of session running the lower level is one part to play, then the upper afterwards, I'll fill in the blanks of this preview soon but as with the other one you can use it now even while I'm working on it (with a little prior preparation).

With it being a major public ceremony, the heroes will have to be very careful indeed- this might not be an occasion for taking out the enemy, more one for trying to blend into the background and find out what's going on, a wedding like this is unlikely to be one of purity! Plus the heroes don't quite know who the enemy is yet and who is friend or foe. Again, with the populous paying close attention, the enemy too will likely be keeping a low profile and hiding behind the 'public image' thus trying to be on their best behaviour, at least during the ceremony. The guards at the entrance will let peaceful members of the congregation pass, but if there's any trouble there are forces far ahead of the heroes party in number and ability primed ready to deal with it, including Splig's loyal staff of goblins, the undead guards of the Cathedral and the ironbound gatekeepers rumoured to be stolen from Nerekhall.

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Lord Merick Farrow and Lady Eliza Cathori.

Due to the status and importance of the occasion all guests are expected to bring their offerings of generous gifts.

There will be a high level of security and possible searches in operation due to the prestige of the event.

That’s cool, I look forward to the adventure, but more importantly where’s the community supplement vault for Genesys!

Great idea but I wouldn't hope too much for one- the Descent Quest Vault is an awesome tool but seems abandoned by FFG - it's still missing some content a long time after said content came out so you have to reference things that aren't in it with notes, not too much hassle to work round but it would be nice if it was complete (it's missing some monsters, map tiles and other bits from some expansions, does have most 'kit' in though)

An app that did some of the number crunching and record keeping would be awesome but again this may be wishful thinking (but there are already some fan projects so we could still see some awesomely useful tools), digital stuff and teams costs so even though such things are great if having it would mean FFG overspending and scuppering themselves I'd rather not have it, but if its doable it's great and benefits the games and community 'buy-in'.
