(Spoilers) Solo - Millenium Falcon

By That Blasted Samophlange, in X-Wing

Solo-06.png So it seems, according to some leaked Hasbro info, that nose extension of the Falcon may be another ship!

also, it seems that like the y-wing , much of the plating has been removed from the Falcon.

Well, several of the escape pods have been jettisoned...

Perhaps, much like the Ghost and Phantom, we may get a docking mini ship.

Or maybe that's the cargo storage that Han dropped at the first sign of an Imperial cruiser?

The description says ‘Mini-ship’ comes with it.

True, but we have now seen what said escape pods look like in The Last Jedi.

My guess is that Qi’ra double crosses the team, steals the nose ship and then gets eaten by the space kraken.

I’d take it with a pinch of salt for now, it might just be something to make the toy a bit more ‘playable’...

Definitely interesting though!

I called it! It’s a shuttle.

Looks like that little "shuttle" is armed as well - double barrels on a folded-back sponson there?

Bullseye arc or double-tap while docked, or both, or a double-tap only against a target within the Bullseye.

finish line!

So, the Kessel Run was a race ?

How much you wanna bet Darth Vader crashes the race, Garmadon-style?

Seeing those jettisoned panels, I am really looking forward to seeing what the "intact" ship looks like.

AND I like that the gap in the nose is for an integrated shuttle - I never really liked the cargo-pusher coupling that was put forward as the explanation for the design.

I'm beginning to feel the MF is going to be my favourite "character" in this upcoming movie.

Would make a lot more sense as a cargo pod than a flat, rounded, disk-shaped ship.

*Love the YT but it is literally the least plausible shape for a "transport" ever conceived

Considering Qi'ra is the mother of krakens, doubtful.

This.

When I was a kid, I had a jedi starfighter which would come apart to create separate ships for the pilot and the droid. Cool, but not in anyway accurate.

Hasbro is known for adding extra features in the name of play-ability.

I have more fond memories of that show than I care to admit. It was so cheesy but I loved it.

Darth Vader is in no way related to Garmadon. I mean just look at him! He has son.... I mean he controls a super... he wears all black and grey.... okay you win.

Vader interrupting the kessel run probability: .06%.

I know we loved the scene in rogue one, and Disney might cash in on that, but at the same time it makes almost no sense for Vader to be there(as far as we know right now). I’m guessing if anyone shows up it’ll be Ozzell or Piett or some other high ranking Admiral from the OT, except they’ll be a lieutenant or something. Maybe Yularen? Who knows, maybe thrawn?!

I don't wanna be that guy but this is probably just a toy feature.

Holy cow Kenner did it first?

The current canon steals reintegrates a lot of stuff from old Kenner toys.

first one is the Freight Loading External Rover , which got prototyped but never produced as a toy.

the 2nd one is the YT-XC Explorer craft , which actually didn't dock in the mandibles, it docked in a special bay inside the docking port opposite the entry ramp's area. basically, where we saw an escape pod ejected from the Falcon in TLJ. it took up a big area in the toy, but the toy was about a quarter the proper scale, if not more. the explorer craft is basically a coffin-cockpit with some engines and guns attached, so odds are it would be the same size "in universe" as the escape pod we saw Rey use, and could probably replace one such pod.

Holy cow, you did not know? I am serious. :D

The Falcon Haynes Manual had a range of ways that small shuttles and fighters could be docked to the YT series. I'd love it if it turns out this is actually an extra ship, and we might get some kind of Scum Ghost/Shuttle combo thing happening.

Thing is, it lacks any sort of canopy, which basically all Star Wars (manned) vessels have.

Easy enough to have a retractable cover on the canopy, or it be hidden behind some of the bodywork at the front.
