Really surprised Austin isn't getting one. I'd expect more stores to join this list in the next week or two.

I'm in the UK and my flgs is holding a demo night. I guess they just haven't listed every single country/store.

Im glad to see there is a store with only a 35 min drive. Never heard of it but ill be checking it out in a few weeks!
I guess this list will be updated will participating stores over the next couple of weeks. There's definitely stores in the UK going to be running these.

America's top city to move to several years running .... one of the most desirable cities in the world to move to ... and, somewhere, like El Paso has one but ATX does not? Austin has a MASSIVE gaming community. And not on the list for demos?

I think it has more to do with our stores not signing up/registering on time.

GIven the game is slowly trickling out for the purpose of demos and there were no stores in Austin, Texas listed on the official listed, I stopped by the large local store (Dragon's Lair.)
They are in fact getting the demo material. Scheduled to arrive first week of March, which will give little time to paint the models, etc. However, that is when they were told to expect the product.
So ... if your store(s) is/are not listed, call them
But if a bunch of stores knew before this article that they were definitely getting a demo unit, why wouldn't FFG just list it in the article instead of releasing half the information it knows.
Surely it wouldn't be too hard for someone in the article team to email someone else and ask for a list of all the stores that are getting Demo units rather than publishing a small portion of the list.
I was told a local store would get the demo stuff and is not on the list. Maybe the ones listed had more or earlier pre-orders to their distributor.
Yeah, my store hasn't showed up on the list yet and a few other around my area.
Quick Update ...
Talked with my local store. Their intent is to follow FFG's specific dates for all the launch activities. However, they have no guarantee when their demo products will arrive or if they will have said demo products painted and ready to go.
With that they have made alternative plans to push everything back a weekend, if necessary, and will have all the pre-orders ready for purchase.
As a new guy, sort of excited for the painting contest.
A warning to people playing the demo starting Thur that it does not play well at 400pts per side and without objectives. At 400pts its just a run for cover and shoot. We are going to proxy At St, speeder Leia and veers as well as snow and fleet troopers to get a real feel for the game.
Ofcourse again no demos in The Netherlands ;(
It really really sucks to be FFG fan and live in The Netherlands, have to miss out on all the cool events FFG stock is always very limited (if any at all) in game stores over here....it's sad.
