Was I the only one to notice that there are only three X-wing tokens when there are five generics? Seems odd to me. Maybe an animation mistake?
Not enough ship tokens in Saw’s Renegades?

Nope, you are not the only one to notice, this has been talked about many times in the discussion of the preview ![]()

I typically skip reading the discussion about the previews as they always have umpteen pages by the time I see the article.

Fair enough
Mistake in the card fan - there are also two U-Wing base tokens (IE., 4 pilots) but only two U-Wing pilot cards in the fan. So two of the X-Wing pilot cards are obviously supposed to be U-Wing pilots.

oooooor, they wanted you to be able to fly both U-wing pilots in the same squad, as this is the second release, and most players of the rebel faction already have a U-wing. I guarantee that there are supposed to be 5 of the X-wing pilots as they are definitely 19-20 points.
Glexor, I think you're right, but then the problem is that there aren't enough X-wing tokens to fly 5 cavern angels zealots. Personally I think it's more likely that (a) they didn't show all the base tokens for X-wings or (b) FFG stinged out on x-wing bases than that the U-wing has two secret pilots. But who knows at this stage.
there also aren't enough named pilots for the Xwing.. you'd end up with one of the base-cards having a PS1 pilot on both sides, defeating the purpose. i suspect that the 5th was actually supposed to be be backside up, the way they usually hide a named pilot they aren't going to reveal just yet. that would give 4 named pilots and 4 PS1 generics.

General Merrick?

Either way I’ve only got the three T-65s from one core, one expansion and the Transport. I don’t care as much about the possible moving S-foil model as some folks are speculating, so getting Two of these boxes is not the way I would go. Holding out hope for Scarif Heroes and General Merrick
At least over in Armada we're used to the spreads not showing every single token included in an expac; the recent Chimera expansion broke a lot of established rules, too . Given that Saw's Renegades seems to be taking a page out of Armada's book by putting a repaint as part of a wave, all bets are off. A screw-up leaving extra x-wing cards in the fan is possible, but so are additional bases we can't see.
My 2 cents:
Several digital mistakes, the most glaring being that the 2 generic pilots at the top are meant to be U-wing pilots leaving 3 actual x-wing generic pilots.
This would then gel with the 3 T65 title cards in the set and the 3 s-foils cards, the 4th s-foils in a upper row is meant to be something else, K-2SO I hope
Because as it is you get 5 generic pilot cards, but only 4 s-foils and 3 titles along with only enough ship tiles for 3 generic x-wings. Then add the fact that there must likely be something on the underside of the U-wing tiles, more than likely the u-wing generics.
If and when this gets corrected there's gona be a whole lot of crying about having to buy 2 of these set to fly 5 x-wings in a single list.

It’s the burden of any swarm player.
8 ties = 4x cores
8 z’s (scum) = 4 most wanted
5 A wings = 2 blisters, 3 aces (if you want a-wing test pilot for all)
Etc.
As much as everyone wants Merrick and K-2SO (myself included), I don't think we'll get them as they have based all other revealed cards around the Cavern Angels/Saw's Partisans.
Neither Merrick nor K2 fit that bill, however Edrio is a canon pilot for the U-wing (Saw's getaway driver) that so far has only been shown as an X-wing pilot. I really expected him to be included as a U-wing pilot since we saw him fly Saw's U-wing in Rebels.
His twin Benthic is another option, and Weeteef Cyu-Bee is another Partisan we have seen on screen that was not included in the preview (although I doubt he's much a of a pilot).
perhaps they'll put Edrio in a U-wing and Benthic in an X-wing, and have a IG-88 type interaction for them.
how about only one focus token?
