The problem is the U-wing's role isn't really depicted by the game. It's basically a Space Huey.

Let's hope that Renegade Refit is torpedo slot, -3 points, and X-wing and U-wing only. So that you can field all 5 and give us a batrep. The sheer amount of table space you could take up with that list...

Oh, gods. I was wondering whether it'd be free, -1 point or -2 points, thinking about X-wings, but I never considered the impact on the U-wing if it's -3 (which is within the scope of past fixes - the Starviper MkII card).

I thought 4 Jumpmasters was a ridiculous amount of table space. 5 large ships would be insane, especially since the things are effectively an agility 2 B-wing (albeit much lest nimble turning around).

You'd essentially fill half your deployment zone!

On the other hand, -3 points would be arguably a bit harsh for the X-wing. Sans any upgrades, making a generic Rookie 18 points is a bit harsh on TIE Strikers and Interceptors, especially if the Cavern Angels Zealot is a point cheaper still .

That's why it will probably be -1 or -2. Real funny though at -3!

I've strongly felt that this game should have more expansion releases like Most Wanted, with pilots and tokens for ships not included in the box. I feel like Saw's Partisans should have been like this. Repaint X-Wing, some other ship, and tokens also for at least the U-Wing but no U-Wing model. There are no doubt other ships out there which could use a bit of a fix, but we don't necessarily need more models for.

The worst part? I half want a second U-Wing for Expertise and such. But it's SOOOO hard to justify knowing Saw's Partisans will happen. I could almost make use of two U-Wings, provided the fixes are reasonable, but having 3?

And I'm not even into the paint job. I'm likely to try to trade my partisan panted U-Wing and perhaps the X-Wing for the original models. The U-Wing is a really pretty ship, and I don't really love just painting over that with black and white dazzle. It's fine for what it is, just not my style.

i guess as soon as we get some crew that you can drop off or tokens you can pick up then the U-wing can play out its troop transport function. In a space dogfight game...
