Hey so if you did not notice the Reaper is 29.99. ok now some might be mad like with Kylo but let me give good reasons,

First this is as much a collectible card game as it is a ship game and you get a ton of cards.

Second the Reaper is a huge model and when we get it in person it will not fit within ether of the small packs. My guess it is bigger the then U-wing.

Third FFG does a great job with providing value to its player base

So please no pitchforks :-)

I'll be honest, I was mad when the Silencer was small base.

Now I think it's kind of cute that no matter how big a TIE gets, it still gets a small base.

The silencer would have fit in the $20 blister pack just fine and I suspect that the reaper would as well. But I am not salty or anything. It's just that my wallet hurts.

And we even get multiple copies of cards that we already have and rarely see play! Wooo!

*Excited for the Reaper, not excited for the price*

Too bad it's way too late for medium sized bases.

I am not salty, the large ship boxes just got locally a few euro cheaper after the price hike from last year. I actually might buy that Silencer for 26.60 now ;-)

That extra copy of Decoy really bumps up the price

If you have a Silencer put it on the large blister pack. I dont want to be a jerk I dont think it would work last time I checked.

Edit I found one when you look at the fact they could not pack it without braking the ship. This has no plastic in it to support the ship.

The silencer came with enough gak to make the 30 pricetag fine.

Reaper barely comes with more than a typical small base does, for 30. Wtf ffg?

Cards good sir, it comes with double the cards, Its not just about the plastic. Director Krennic is amazing and the death troopers are going to have some usage. Decoy is blaw. The ship is good.

I get this, I think FFG has to run this past Disney, any chance they signed off on the size or said it had to be that size vs FFG? We dont know or ever will know.

I think people give Disney far to much credit when it comes to X-Wing. They don't care about the FAQ, they don't care about ship abilities, and they sure as **** don't care about scale.

IDK I dont sense that the FFG kids are messing with the consumers. This ship to me looks at a one buy vs something like a defender that was a 3 or 4 buy. Also compared to the new Rebels which is cheaper then a large and a small combined. I really dont think its a up charge the X-wing fan base thing.

Advanced Optics, cool now I would have 4 of those as well.
Threat Tracker. Cool. Now I have 2 of a card which seems cool literally only on the silencer generics.
I will show you the darkside. Cool a second unique condition card.

Autothrusters: Sorry, but I can't fit SIX of them into a standard list. But ok, 5 Crack-Trick-Shots A-Wings with AT fit. ;-)
Great, now I just need 2 more Heroes of the Resistance AND 1 more rebel aces. Damit, when my Wife see's this I have to get those expansions for her. She loves her A-Wings.

It's a whopping 10 extra dollars. That's like one extra lunch downtown that you buy instead of bringing from home.

I get that it might add up if you are the type of guy who buys the maximum field-able quantity of every ship, but if you are buying 1 anyways, it's not that big of a deal. Maybe if they continue to inflate the prices repeatedly, complain. The sheer number of people who were acting like the extra $10 per ship was tantamount to Max himself breaking into their house and eating their cat was astounding.

If you want to complain about something to actually make the game better, ask for a return to conventional/traditional game mechanics of Firing arcs and positioning, or the return of more iconic ships to viability.

Don't whine about $10 online- Just speak with your wallet. FFG uses that as a bigger metric to track success anyways, as that decision is likely made on a corporate level. If you want to whine about something, make it something that the developers can actually potentially fix.

Disney very much cares about everything, its how they run their business. FFG gets limited info from them and has to do their best. the silencer was probably based off of what disney told them, disney may have changed the scale latter however.

Disney didn't know how large the ship was? Disney didn't know that it was going to fire missiles in a critical scene in the movie? Disney will license the IP to just about anybody as long as they fall in line with whatever marketing push Disney is running at the time.

I am so, so, SO excited for the TIE Reaper! But even I balk at the inclusion of 2 copies of Systems Officer. Must be some decent greens on that ship if that's the case. I guess some people didn't buy Imperial Veterans?

Decoy, though, now that's interesting. I think there's going to be something tricky with the TIE Reaper and Decoy. Fingers crossed.
