A (sensible) suggestion is that it might be "torpedo". Both have a torp slot they're generally happy to give up.

If nothing else it’ll stop the 40k players mocking us... “are there even X-Wings in X-Wing” etc. Hopefully FFG is now working on boosting use of all the classic ships, particularly the TIE Fighter. To be honest I thought they might have included a TIE Fighter with the Reaper for this purpose. But I suppose with have the Solo wave to look forward to.
Don't get me wrong; I would also like to see the X-wing be awesome. I have only two reservations:
- I don't want to see the T-65 X-wing fixed by turning it into a T-70 because if the two ships are too similar and sit in the same faction, one of them will be objectively 'better'.
-
I'm should note that above I'm talking specifically from the perspective of a 5-ship 'heavy swarm'.
- By all means have a 3-ship or 4-ship X-wing squad be awesome and loaded with all the l33t skillz because the T-65 has to compete with the much more powerful basic chassis and larger upgrade bar of Scurrgs, M-12Ls, T-70s and TIE/sf. As a basic chassis with no repositioning and potentially killable with a single lucky cruise missile, it needs it's damage mitigating and repositioning upgrades to survive because like it or not, 5 hit points makes you essentially a bit of a 'fragile arc dodger' in today's game.
- 5 ships is a different issue. I don't mind what was done with the Vaksai upgrade for Talonbane Cobra (for example) but in a heavy swarm, Cartel Marauders bring a lot of very powerful toys free, and they were already the most effective heavy swarm to begin with.

It will largely depend on whether either of the new 'fix' cards have a negative point cost, and how negative it is.
- With the Cavern Angel Zealot being PS1, unless they've gone with the weird idea of PS1 with an elite upgrade, it's almost inevitably going to be 20 points tops, meaning 5 T-65s is a potential to begin with.
- -1 point and a 20-point Zealot means that and flight assist and integrated astromech, which is a huge whack of capability but potentially doable
- The Servomotor S-foils - depends on their exact ability. Adding boost to the action bar situationally is fine because it requires an action to use.
