Dice symbol tokens

By Funk Fu master, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hi guys.

Does anyone know of anyone who makes tokens to represent different dice symbols (hit, adv, triumph etc)

I want to use these to clearly represent when a PC gets an automatic result due to a talent, weapon quality or condition, as opposed to just using a dice set to that face (which can easily be knocked or confused with the role)

Are you talking about physical tokens? I've never seen any because it's an unusual request, but I suppose it would not be that hard with a laser cutter. The symbols are pretty easy to find online. Probably copyright though, so I suspect FFG would have stern words if you were to try and sell them, but I'm sure there's no issue with you making some for personal use. So now you just need a laser cutter, or a friend with access to one. Failing that... print some symbols and stick them onto poker chips?

Printing to labels, punching out with the above hole punch and putting them on 1" wooden disks (amazon or any hobby store) would make some solid tokens.

After I lost all of our Destiny Point tokens somehow, I found a guy on Etsy that made me some replacement tokens . They are pricey, but they look nice. He does custom orders, so you could request tokens with the various symbols. It took about 10 days from me sending the request to having the tokens in my hands. The Destiny Point tokens are double sided, so single sided tokens should be about half the price.

Of course, double-sided would work well in this case. Success and Failure on opposite sides of a few tokens, and then Advantage and Threat on opposite sides of a few more, should work really well. Adding both a Success and a Failure (or an Advantage and a Threat), would just cancel out anyway, so no need to add the tokens in the first place.

I can't think of any talents that automatically add a Triumph or Despair. Am I forgetting something? In any event, those wouldn't cancel out in the same way.

My wifes character is an analyst. She has a talent that gives a triumph to another player. I think its called "kowledge is power"

I would love to have Advantage and Triumph tokens. Oh this is a great idea.

I really like this idea, too. Usually I just pass a die with the face showing, but a token is a much better solution in my mind.

Someone should make 3D prints of these. Would look better with the negative space and all, instead of flat discs, IMO. :)

I've been meaning to do just that for a couple of weeks. But time has gotten away from me.

Huh... just received my latest order of dice:

First pass. Bottom layer is thinner than I'd like. Going to raise the inlay just a bit and give it another go.

Printed at 1" size. Fairly thin, so the corresponding negative symbol can be printed in black and the two glued together to make them double-sided. (Similar to the 3D printed Destiny tokens our groups have been using for a while.)

(Yeah, the inside portion of the success looks like crap. I'm not terribly wiled about my printer. )
