First, I am so excited that X-Wings might be good again! So glad that they are getting some love!

However, I am somewhat dissapointed that the 2nd ship is not a Y-Wing and that we are not getting more rebel heroes from the scarif battle.
Anyone else in the same boat? Wheres general Merrick and my Y-Wings with (accurate) Ion Torpedoes?

maybe we will get separate Scariff X/Y blisters as singles.... doubtful... but maybe?

I too was hoping for some pilots from Blue Squadron, K2S0 and some Y-Wing fixes but I’m still happy to be getting something. I’ll hold final judgement until the text of the X-Wing Title and upgrade cards are released.

i'm still expecting Heroes of Scariff eventually.

This box is not the ships involved in that glorious battle, so it actually makes sense that K2SO isnt in it.

Heroes/Veterans of Scariff is too obvious a pack for them to not do it.

So the last Worlds champ was interested in making a Chirrut Îmwe crew card, so they have to have something that he gets released with if they approved his idea. That leaves room for another expansion with a K2-SO (crew) card, and possible pilot card. They could release a Heroes of Scarif boxed set with the X-Wing/Y-Wing models and pilots and possible U-Wing pilot card (like they added Scum Firespray pilot cards and dials to Guns for Hire).

As mentioned, this was a Partisan themed release, so it makes sense for no General Merrick or K2-SO in it.

I'm super excited for the release, but mostly because I think we will get some fix for the X-wing and the U-wing that they sorely need. Unfortunatly, what that will be seems a bit unclear from the article. I love the New TIE transport (name?), I will buy one even if the ship sucks. I am a little disappointed with the repaints, firstly because, of course, I don't know what their fix will be. But also I don't love the paint job. I had been secretly hoping for a Blue Squadron / Rogue Squadron fix for the x-wing. I would love s non-unique synergy title of Rogue Squadron like FFG has done with Armada ship titles.

which I honestly havn't seen, but from what clips I googled I can tell Saw is an actual narrative presence (and sharp ideological contrast to Mon Mothma) as opposed to one really bizarre, prolonged bump on a plot road that ultimately has nothing to do with him

more realistically, though, this is Disney and they seem to regard REBELS far more fondly than Rogue One. Marketing reasons? almost certainly. It's also far more recent.

keep in mind that well before the film came out, and even after, we had a lot of people here who wanted an Saw Gurrera Partisan X-wing. that faded for a bit as the Blue Squadron/Scarif fandom got more vocal, but when Saw reappeared in Rebels as a major character for the most recent season, flying a Partisan U-wing, there was a renewed wave of partisan fandom.

i suspect that since the partisans offered stuff that was more unique in terms of looks and potential gameplay options (lets face it, blue squadron would be not much different from the existing T-65 stuff we have from ANH/ESB/RotJ), they went with partisans.
