New X-Wing model: articulated s-foils!

But if they DO open and close, I sure hope there's an articulated X-Wing in a more traditional Rebellion color scheme coming down the pipe right behind it, because I'm just terrible at painting...

This is the reason I think it would be smart for FFG to have the new version with articulating foils. Literally everyone will re-buy an entire new set of X-Wings.

*Literally*... *everyone*. :D

I already have four X-wings and they never see the table, getting one with folding wings would be cool though not cool enough to warrant me replacing the old ones, cos then I'd have a stack of never to be used U-wings!

IF I were to buy the new X-Wing just for folding wings, I would very likely make some uglies or scratch built folding X-wings to accompany my fleets. It can't be that hard. It only too FFG what, 6 years?

If that means that you didn't already own at least three X-Wings and two U-Wings, yes that's bad.

If it's just because the models are cool, no, not bad at all. I bought my sixth TIE Interceptor just for the model, because I never get a chance to play Epic.

I own 5 X-Wings and 2 U-Wings.

I want to paint 2 X-Wings, leave one stock. Then fly a 4 U-Wing squad for lawls

I had to take a pretty close look because the paint job threw off my depth perception, but yeah, that looks sweet. But, I'll just hold my breath to see if it is true. I mean, they do set some "moving wings" precedent with the U-Wing, so it'd be fitting that an articulated X-Wing is boxed with one.

Today's article confirms that FFG did indeed cleverly hide evidence that the s-foils on the X-Wing are mobile and can be opened and closed. Neat!
