Grumpy Fish Face’s Fleet of Get Off My Lawn

By ImpStarDeuces, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So I’m finally getting back into the swing of things, played in a tournament (oddly in the end I finished in a 3 way tie for first) and was blown away by how the players have advanced and how strategies have changed. People are a bit more skittish (not bashing, just reporting things the way they are) with flotillas and the relay fighter balls are getting painful enough that playing aggressively doesn’t seem to carry the day the way it used to. So time to evolve – into a glorious cranky blue fishman with a prodigious neck sack.

With a decent bid I can generally keep 1st player which means I can use Admo decently and while the MC75 can’t activate first it should be able to set itself up ideally to take advantage of the 1st actvation after Admo makes its pass. The CR90 gives me another maneuverable backup jump point while providing reliable damage. Flotillas gonna flotilla and hopefully the jamming field provides just a bit more oomph to shave some heat from enemy fighters so I can keep my screen alive before I get out of dodge.

Thoughts and Critiques?

Drop Jamming Field?

Alternative for the XI7 on Admo?

Maybe Drop the CR90 for a Hammerhead and Profundity?

Switch out the fighter screen for 4 A-Wings? Lose the bid and go for Jan and 3 X-wings? (Not looking to win the fighter game, just some breathing room to let me work)

Jamming field hurts 3 dice fighters more than those with larger armaments.

Drop EWS and jamming field and go for 3 A-Wings and Shara Bey. Or 4 A-Wings and Slicer tools to turn off carrier squadron commands. Jiana's Light if you can spare a few points at the end but keep the bid reasonable.

Aspiration can be fun Hyperspacing in off Raddus and easy to see where you will be shot that turn waiting to activate.
