This list is from the wiki. @Chumbalaya should be be on there as well for winning Coruscant last year. Any idea where these cards are? Seems like Nand's card should be known by now.

Marcel Manzano has one coming too, following normal timelines I'm suprised it wasn't in the last wave

Well, I heard what you wanted and decided to give it to you.

So close....

Ya I am really surprised we have so many of these in the pipeline. It’s exciting. Player designed cards are always the most interesting cards to me.

No way man, I'm holding out for Triple Laser Turret! It's super wholesome.

Ooo! Ooo! How about a Imp only mod that allows TIEs to carry a missile or torp?

Apparently Marcel's is in wave 14 but he isn't allowed to say which card yet.

you are missing System Open winners

Bump with the confirmation that Nand designed Targeting Scrambler.

Such an interesting design. I thought for sure that was a max brooks design.

Either he has the worst possible combo ready to win him worlds again and nobody sees it coming, or it got nerfed hard during playtesting. Those are the only options that make sense to me.

More cards that work with weapons disabled tokens are almost a guarantee. Just a shame the GUNBOAT doesn’t have that system slot SHE deserves.

really, T-Scram sounds like a bit of help to Palp Lambdas and maybe pivoting U-wings.

I think it’s a clever design. You have to realize it’s a preemptive, maybe hopeful upgrade for when we get TRUE support ships. Think of a named hwk pilot, 6 points cheaper than they are, with a Rebel Fenn like ability that has a system slot instead of a turret.

It doesn’t care to shoot anyways, so now you have a 0 point upgrade to keep it as a nusiance longer.

I don't know, I still don't see or understand it. One of my ships won't modify attack dice, if I'm stupid enough to fly into range 1 after I've been told what will happen.

Maybe the range condition was added. Maybe "that is equipped with" was added. Maybe the weapons disabled token was added. Maybe it was moved to the start of the planning phase. But these are four restrictions, four downsides and all you get for it is "no mods".

Four negative aspects are too much in my opinion, that's why I suspect it was adjusted during playtesting. Or, as mentioned, Nand is a genius.

As someone who has quite a bit of experience with having my U-wing shot out of the sky I'm quite excited for it.

For ships like the U-wing and the Lambda having this as an option will be great to help safeguard your 'Moving Asteroid' as well as the ships its supporting. Combo it with Ion Projector or Anti-Pursuit Lasers and nobody will want to be anywhere near it.

It's also 0pts, I don't mind having a situational effect if it doesn't cost me a penny. The cheaper I can make my U-wing the better.

It's a straight buff to the Palpmobile, who frequently wouldn't get a shot anyway - being able to shut down enemy range 1 killshots is a very handy defensive buff.

Likewise, a squad full of B-wings or G1As could have had some fun with this, with any jouster that's out of position being able to help protect their buddies.

No, neither of these are relevant in the current meta - but that such ships aren't currently relevant isn't the fault of the upgrade card, and especially not one that was designed such a long time ago. It's a great card , it's just going to be waiting for the balance to drift back towards the ships it wants to fly on. :)

Its a Unique card sadly.

That's the fifth downside I didn't even mention - it's unique. I'm just saying, there are too many negative sides to it. Make it limited or nothing entirely, move it to the start of activation or combat phase, make it range 1-2 or 1-3 even, make it useful against any range 1 attack without a condition, leave the weapons disabled away. Any of these changes and I would still think it's just ok because it's 0 points.

I don't want to derail the thread into another targeting synchronizer discussion though. I understand that it's ok on a palp shuttle (even though we'll get a cadillac now), and that it's free and doesn't really hurt an immobile ship with just a front arc. I still don't believe that's exactly how Nand envisioned it. 5 limitations! No way.

unique, not limited

On the whole, targeting scrambler does seem a little meh. Sure it's zero points but it is certainly not an exciting upgrade.

Boba Fett crew has to be the most fun one so far.

... You know, I totally missed that it's unique. Whoops.

A pity, it could have been fun there!

Chumby gets to design one as the 2017 Systems open Champ.
