Modular Terrain Tile Set!

I did a ton of research and eventually bought a variety of tiles from http://tabletop-modellbau-onlineshop.de/

I sourced some trees, built and/or painted some vehicle models, and I have the Battle Kiwi kick starter Endor set on the way. I'm really happy with how this table turned out, and I can't wait for the game to ship.

That is the popcorn ATAT! Scooped it up on my trip in December.

And thanks! I have a few more pieces than these so there are a bunch of map creation options. I'm really looking forward to getting the Endor buildings on the table.

Modular terrain is great in that in can be set up in so many combination to keep from 'the same old thing' all of the time. I played micro armor on an 8' x 16' modular board. The owner had two inch tiles to plan the large board in advance of setup.

What is the size of your board?

The pictured board is 6x3. I have a few extra pieces that aren't pictured that allow for more customization.

im looking forward to getting it set up for a live game.

I love all the excitement around the game, i also love everyone making / buying terrain and then taking a picture of a random tie Fighter sat in some woods (I have done the same im not criticizing ;p) to make it look more 'star warsy'. :D

Looking really nice!

I have the whole set of Endor terrain pieces coming from the Battle Kiwi Kickstarter. The tie fighter will end up on the landing platform or some other appropriate piece. I was just too excited once the tiles finally came in to wait to put it all together!

Haha same, also got the Kiwi stuff coming.

I was even more stupid though, bought a crappy pad for £10a and sprayed it black for my shuttle to stand on for now (for pics) until the Battle Kiwis stuff arrives!!! It will probably get thrown away when the real one arrives.

I can completely understand that level of impatience :)

I was looking at the terrain on the website and it is about 4" square (20cm). it looks very nice, but I have to look into shipping costs living in LA. Although I will be going to Germany for a wedding in May.

I'm in norcal, shipping wasn't too bad it just took forever. Also, 20cm square is almost 8 inches so each tile is pretty big. I'm happy to PM you with info if you like.

trying to do math in my head, 2.56 cm is one inch, so 20cm is just under 8". what size was your shipment? did you get the 1.2m by 1.8m layout? Bringing it back may not be the easiest solution. Thanks for the reply

I wanted to go 6x3, so 45 tiles, but I wanted the height variety from the smaller tile set. I ended up building excel sheets and build a digital tile set so I could really see which options I wanted. It was basically the smaller complete set plus a handful of other tiles. It came in one large and one medium sized box.

The tiles are cool, if a bit expensive. Entire 6x3 table will be at least 150€ if you only take the large 40x40 baseplates. If you take various special tiles the costs quickly rises to well above 400€ for a 6x3 table. Much cheaper to make it yourself (< 50€ materials)

Good option if you have plenty disposable income but not enough free time though, plus the tiles are nice in that you can change the table very easily every game.
