Just a little something silly

I’ll never get those 7 minutes back. I wonder if HISHE intentionally made it worse than TLJ, or if they actually wanted any of the terrible fan theories they referenced.

Nah that was far more entertaining than the actual movie, and unlike tlj I could happily watch it multiple times.

The getting sucked into space made a whole bunch of sense considering there was nothing stopping the people all in that hallway from being sucked on out. Destroying Poe's fighter makes more sense for Hux's character from TFA but that is more one of those 'Why doesn't the Death Star just blow up Yavin before the rebel base instead of going around it?' kinds of things, even if I really dislike the sense of humor from TLJ. Ackbar would have been better than Holdo, though it negates one of the bigger conflicts in the film with Holdo not telling her plan even if she didn't need to as their commander. That said, she could have at least tried to give off more of a "I have a plan" feeling, or at least told Poe she had a plan that she was working on rather than keeping him in the dark and more or less setting the whole go to Canto Bight bit into action along with the mutiny. Ben on the 'throne' was...moving on. Landing their ship someplace out of sight rather than on the beach is a much better idea. Snoke did need some explanation but most of that is built up upon JJ's TFA setting up teases and doing poor world building, and if we are honest how many casual audience goes would even know who Darth Plagius was? Rey being related to Obi-wan is a bit meh, but she needs some power explanation and JJ will likely take her background into mind for Episode 9 since I think he started writing after TLJ came out. The whole 'father' thing is just a running joke. Weaponizing hyperspace is a horrible idea and opens up too many doors, being a big pandora box of 'why didn't/don't they ever just do that?' still having Ackbar be the one sacrifice himself has more weight than Holdo. Slicing the hand off is tantamount to why people with the force don't just mess with the activator during a battle. Rose's crashing into Finn is one if not the worst parts of the film, not to mention it is opposed to her character at the start of it, and she is criticizing Finn for what Holdo just did. And well, hoe exactly did they get back without getting shot on the way there? Walrus milk monster...yea, no that was just as bad here as it was in the film. And Luke just being OP isn't any better than what happened in the film. And well yea, force ghosts now able to use lightning also creates a big 'well why not use that more thing' though maybe it is just an ability that can be used at places where the forces is densely concentrated?

TLDR, Parts of the HISHE TLJ is not to my liking just like how the film itself, lots in hindsight or a passing thought really isn't. The short here is more or less in line with their other HISHE work.
