Another lightsaber tree with no Reflect ranks??

I mean, this is form seven, right? So not one of the ones from before blasters were invented.

That's because Juyo/Vapaad is an purely offensive form, even moreso than Ataru.

By that reasoning it should also lack Parry.

Nah parry makes sense because it's not outside usual Swordsmanship reflecting bullets kinda is. You can be offensive and parry attacks, if your enemy made no attacks then they were all defense or you outclassed them badly.

Not necessarily. Parrying can be used to open an opponent for counter attack. This is what you get to do with Improved Parry, for instance.

Yeap Juyo should have no parry or Reflect.

Why do forms have to follow logic? Real world martial arts don’t.

It's all fun and games until this guy shows up.

Because that ridiculous little speeder is fitted with a vehicle scale autoblaster capable of turning even big scary colossi to mulch with a single hit.

And if vehicular weapons are cheating, KoF just gave us the proton rifle, making Breach a whole lot cheaper and easily obtainable...

Cotorsis beats breach, And if you have Colossus and Armorer you can easily go 11-12 soak and if you activate Sense and the new Sig Ability good luck scoring hits or damage on them with 4 upgrades to the attack, I hope he's in close range when you Fire!

Regarding the new Force power... I read a few pages back that it can eventually ignore death crits and with the mastery, potentially negate suffering them entirely. The difficulty of pulling this off is based on the difficulty of the crit. So in the instance of the 151+ "complete, obliterated death" crit that has no difficulty to heal, does this power not apply?

Well the Admirer /colossus combo can get to 11/12 soak easily and paying some strain can reduce a crit to -120 on the roll ignoring the result of that takes it to 1 or less effectively meaning unless you get a good roll and have a good bonus you won't get a crit even from a disruptor (because it you reduce it to a no crit result even the precision strikes and min 100 result for a disruptor don't get to trigger)

I'm away from the book right now, but if I remember correctly, at it's most powerful, Endure allows you to commit a Force die to postpone the death effect until the end of the encounter.

It does. Though there is the side bar that mentions keeping a die committed forever/preventing strain recovery. It's an interesting backdoor way to kind of have Darth Sion from KotOR 2 in the game.

Where is this Admirer tree? I'm fascinated!

Autocorrect wins, I surrender , should read Armorer (I'm in the UK and my auto correct wants me to spell it the original English spelling of Armourer but when using US English it would of course be Armorer and auto correct even gets the name wrong.

There are real world fencing forms that do not have parry or riposte as part of the style.

Actually umm they do...

Real Martial arts have forms they follow with an inherent logic.

You will not see a Boxer kick someone in the face while boxing.

Unless he happens to be a Thai Kick Boxer .

I figured as much!

Something about the idea of an "Admirer" tree makes me interested in making a completely paradoxical Advocate/Colossus multiclass character, just for the heck of it. Wonder how that would pan out...

Close range can be really really really far on the personal scale. No matter how much cheese you come up with, this system has a horrible personal/vehicle interface, and no personal-scale target can survive a competent vehicle-using opponent. It doesn't reflect any of the source material, but that's just the way the game rules go.

I asked this before but the answer didn't cover if improved dodge was a force talent , I got the feeling it wasn't but I just wanted to confirm

It is not.

I have (yet) another question for those with books, the Brawl talent Far Strike , does it have any range limits of is it just one range per pip , allowing for a weirdly entertaining sniper shot with a punch.

Maximum of long range. So you can reach out and tenderly touch someone at extreme range. But long range is still **** good.

I think you meant "can't reach out" but he's Long range is a **** of a tech to tickle someone.
