Agree this book is awesome!
Im actually doing a build right now to see the viability. That was my thoughts as well.

How many total ranks of Iron Body? Because I'd wager that Warden is almost entirely redundant in this build.

Executioner is still the best at Dual wielding, followed by Niman and Ataru
Yeah, I misread the downgrading section, I figured it worked like upgrading just in reverse. Thanks for the clarrification

With just martial artist and Steel Hand Adept you get 4 Ranks, so you don’t actually require anymore. And my build was using a Trandoshan base so...
given the reliance on high force Rating in Steel Hand it actually might be better to pair it with more F&D or Universal force specs and just use the Trandoshan claws to overcome the Crit.
Thanks for the info. Mine won't be here until tomorrow. These sound great

Wow, really? I was expecting Juyo to not have one, but Colossus doesn't increase Force Rating, either?
I actually find that rather surprising.
This is already available ? And no articles for it ?? Wow. Someone who gets it list crystals and hilts please

You do miss out on Supreme Precision Strike if you don’t take Martial Artist... so that undercuts some of the builds strength but more force Rating would arguably make up for it in Sunder and Pierce qualities.

It’s already done, read back to page 10.

This Guy is a Crit Machine who can convert Dark Side to Light Side and vice versa.
Unique Talents:
Inner Peace / Embrace Your Hate: 2 seperate Talents that let you exchange one sides destiny points for the others Once per encounter. (Game breaking awesome)
Vaapad Control: Spend LS destiny points to downgrade difficulty of attacks per point.
Juyo Savagery: +5 to Crit attacks per DS Destiny point in the pool.
Is there a chance you could list all the other talents in this spec? Thanks

Yeah, that seems really odd.
Ah Sithspit, no Cathar

... meow meow ... *sniff*
Cathar were a longshot (Legends-only, so far). I was hoping for Kaleesh myself (Grievous' species). I don't mind 2/3s of the options, but I'd really like to know what the heck the third species is from, or if it's entirely new.

I share in your despair at no Cather

a cathar force sensitive was mentioned in the Darth Vader comic when Jocasta Nu was accessing the crystal with all the locations of all the known force sensitives in the galaxy

Edited by TrystramKKinda strange that they decided to translate the name of Teräs Käsi to english in this, since the original name has even been used in Solo. Other than being a grumpy Finn and thus mildly miffed at that, thanks for the infos Khazadune! ?

Probably so the spec can still be a general archetype. By naming it Teräs Käsi Adept, it pigeonholes it into specific practitioners of that fighting style. By naming it Steel Hand Adept, it at least allows players to adapt it to any Force-sensitive hand-to-hand fighter that they want.
Plus this book was written long before the movie came to theaters. FFG likely didn't know what was going to be made canon or not and the alternative Force Traditions (as named) may not be as approachable for a full-blown spec.

I thought there was a rule of some kind about making sensible posts here

"In the Finnish language, "teräs käsi" means "hand of steel" according to the wookiepedia.
So didn't they name it Teräs Käsi anyways?

Isn't it cool that Force and Destiny came out with it's splat books before Age of Rebellion?

Kind of. They called it Steel Hand Adept as a reference to the fighting style, but to most English speakers, the name invokes the exact meaning behind the spec, namely of a martial artist (which is already used).
Also, @Khazadune , do any of the specializations have conflict talents?
If I'm not mistaken Warrior has the only Conflict generating Sig Ability.
