Can a trained clone trooper re-roll one or two of his die?
Trained clone trooper and re-rolls

Also, Vineheart01, maybe so many people think that's how the rule works because in every other instance that I can think of, that's how the rule works. And prior to the RRG getting the FAQ updated, that's how most played Training. Perhaps consider a less aggressive response next time?
*sigh* where the heck did that "you must track it" crap come from? i come across SO MANY PEOPLE trying to pull that on me its ridiculous, the game rules say the exact opposite...
Per Training faq pg 26:
"The die from Training is also that character’s die. If Training
ever leaves play, the controller of the character chooses
which of its dice is set aside"
Nowhere does it say you have to track it.
Per "Dice Leaving Play" pg 9:
"If a player has two copies of the same upgrade on a
character, they do not need to keep track of which die is
associated with which card, unless there is a reason to do
so (like Con Artist). When both dice are in a dice pool and
an ability targets one of their cards, the player resolving
the ability chooses which die it affects"
Where the heck does this "you must track the die" crap come from that EVERYONE keeps rehearsing? I even had someone call a TO on me because i didnt track my ID9 seeker droid dice and we wasted 10min waiting for the PDF to load so i could show them it says the exact opposite.
You DO need to keep track between characters, but thats totally different.
edit: as for the original question, its only one die because it specifies "this die" which is the singular phrase for dice.

The OP document has language that says you must track dice with cards when there's more than one copy in play, or some other reason to do so. That's often where players get the shorthand rule from. It's not the RRG, but in the OP rules.
Sorry didnt mean to sound aggressive. Its such a laughably common mistake though and people are shockingly quick to call someone out for not tracking. Ive only been to 4 tournaments, but in those 4 tournaments ive either had to deal with it directly or mention it to a TO because i heard people trying to skirt others with it multiple times. It gets a little irritating seeing the same exact issue over and over again over the span of a year-ish
Edited by Vineheart01It's FFG guys, they write rules like trash. Keep the anger pointed to where it belongs. Yes, the tournament rules say to keep track, but this is between characters, otherwise they want this to be a causal game so no, you don't keep track. Note this may change in the future, since they keep changing the rules on us.
All good, Vineheart. Seems like you've come across it more than a few times. I've probably been to even less OP events than you, but I've only seen Training outside of my table at home maybe once.
And this is worse than normal for FFG, because you have a general rule (keep track) conflicting with a rule that applies to this one card only (Training) located in the card clarification section of the RRG. And since there's a general rule....in a different document, but one that most tournament players would be familiar with.....it's not something that players are going to be looking for to correct, because it doesn't seem to need a clarification since the general rule would appear to cover the issue.
