Ferocity and Bantha Rider

By topacesteve, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

This new Bantha Rider is essentially a tusken raider on top of a creature. This card only has the Ranged attack of its rider but not the melee attack of the creature.

Shouldn t ferocity apply only on creatures melee attacks? in that case we would have a ranged attack at the end of the round which comes from the raider and has nothing to do with the creatures ferocity.

huh? Ferocity says "Perform an attack". It doesn't really care if it's melee or ranged. So yes you'd perform the ranged attack with Blue + Red

Ferocity Bantha Rider

When you perform an attack , in the campaign a hero chooses a weapon to use for the attack.

Other figures use their attack type and attack pool specified on their deployment (or companion) card.

In this case the Bantha Rider performs a ranged attack with blue and red.

This is a rules forum. If you want thematic justifications, then that's a different discussions altogether.
