.. and now for something completely different (but slightly related)

Now that HoM are rewriting the gap between RoTJ and TFA does this mean that all the Legends and EU novels will eventually stop being reprinted (a friend of mine missed out on some Legends novels priced £1,50!!)... I'm not a massive Legends/EU fan but there are a few titles I fancy picking up after finding Dark Nest III in the garage, so I bought I & II with some Chrimbo cash

Has anyone heard anything or anything posted on tinterweb?

I still have no idea why I had DN III and not the first two...

I imagine Lucasfilm's publishing partners will continue to reprint the Legends novels they find it profitable to reprint. So they'll stop reprinting them if people stop buying them. The ebook versions don't go out of print, either.

They just put big "LEGENDS" logos on the covers.

IIRC, that's pretty much how it was before Disney took over too.

Profitable novels were reprinted, others not so much.

I don't see that changing any time soon.

People seem to think that Disney has it out for the old EU and wants to erase it from history or something like that...

They don't. They just don't want to be shackled down by what essentially amounts to nigh-unregulated fan fiction (some of it is really good fan fiction, but still...).

They'll still publish the books that are popular and other things too, but they just don't count in "canon".
