Tatooine Terrain Building In cardboard

By Derrault, in Star Wars: Legion

Starting to build some terrain, doing it in cardboard (mostly because there’s an absurd amount of free cardboard inherent in ordering things online, it seems wasteful not to put it to use).

basic plan is: shape cardboard, glue together using PVA (Elmer’s glue), apply vinyl sparkling to seal the ridges and create the outer body molding, prime then paint with acrylics, last step would be to seal with a thin coat of watered down pva glue.

so far Mesas seem pretty straightforward, although cutting out 20+ circles from cardboard is a tad tedious. I’m more concerned about doing the actual buildings.

As this is my first foray into terrain building, any tips on doing the buildings? I am quite interested in doing some of the huts/mos Eisley style buildings that were shown on the Legion demos tables.

There are a lot of terrain guides on this forum if you search. Games workshop also put out some terrain guides if you can find them on eBay.
