MC-75 Experiences!

By TallGiraffe, in Star Wars: Armada

C&S aren't range dependent (ie you don't need a blue) for Ackbar maximum red dice, just restrictive to one color and don't chuck a die. Nothing stopping you from using both, either.

Here's a question; you think Ackbar conga lines could come back with the '75? Having spikes on the grill means nobody is cutting you off anymore...

That was the list I was playing. Aspiration with External Racks and XI7s is a very effective snow plow.

Wrong turbo upgrade, whoops...

I just ran an MC-75 and AF with Ackbar, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. AF, plus C&S and Ackbar is pretty devastating, with concentrate fire 6 rerollable dice is awesome, at not that high of a cost. Also Aspiration seems to be perfect for the conga line.

Ok bat rep for my fleet above with a couple changes. I versed a dual isd with thrawn 6 tie fighters 4 tie bombers.

Turn one move in, nothing happens. Aspiration is in hyperspace.

Turn 2, gr75 murdered, aspiration remain in hyperspace, damage done to chimeras front arc. 2 ties died

Turn 3, 2nd gr75 murdered, 3 ties killed, chimera with thrawn murdered. Aspiration jumps in and kills the chimera.

Turn 4 shots impact other isd.

Turn 5 last gr75 murdered, isd down to half health but escapes. 1 tie killed.

Turn 6, final parting shots. Nothing destroyed.

Great game!!

Mc75 is an amazingly useful ship, rapidly becoming my fav.

Next time gonna try using a murdering mc30 and a single mc75 along with flots and sqds.

I played an ordnance cruiser with sato yavaris and 2 gr75 (noncombat). Nym jan ten gold...

Against sloan bt avenger quasar goz 10 ties with howl and 3 lambdas.

Mc75 had expanded launchers and WAB. Front arc on mid range did 3 damage to isd and barraged a damaged tie to death. 7 black did 10 damage to isd and the barrage one-shotted supressor. Side arc with 4 black could have barraged howls last hull, should have rerolled all dice for the crit. Mc lived on 1 hull (lando) to reuse barrage against quasar and barrage a lambda away.

Barrage range is crazy, hit that isd and then pick anything in close range of that huge isd base. 7 black dice is crazy. One shotting flotillas is crazy.

The idea was to win the squadron game fast with barrage and then yavaris bomb. Giving up extra damage from acm or apt. Will test more. First game was just crazy lucky.

Does WAB work like this: get 7 black hits -> 4 WAB damage -> has to be assigned to one hull zone of a flotilla, so 1 shield, 3 hull, goes poof?

Yes just like the damage from debris. No target zone specified so the ship’s owner picks a zone and all damage goes there.

In the interest of not starting a new thread, has anyone tried what I am now calling Radus' Revenge?

Admiral Raddus

MC80 Star Cruiser
-Raddus on board
-Caitken and Shollan
-Engine Techs
-Overload Pulse

MC75 Armored Cruiser
-Boarding Troopers
-Hondo(for the free squadron and con fire token so still have con fire dial)
-Extra upgrades, blah blah

Add extra ships and squadrons, sprinkle to taste

Idea is Star Cruiser runs in, pins target(s) in place. Next turn, First friendly activation, Star Cruiser activates, exhausts all defense tokens. Second friendly activation, Armored Cruiser activates, boarding troopers makes 3 Defense tokens of your choice go bye bye BEFORE being shot at with a double arc.

@Shadoq I haven't ran that specific set up, but I do use an Armored Cruiser and Star Cruiser to great effect. I swapped a few upgrades from the Original design I had, but I find this to be quite effective.

I'm glad people are revisiting their Liberties with a passion. Even if I don't understand this philia.

I love the Liberty with Raddus. Plop it in a good position at the start of a round. Roll in that Quantum storm!
