[Spoiler] Enemy movement in A Phantom of Truth

By Astrophil84, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

I'm not 100% sure if I played it right.

Maybe you can help me how The Organist: Draped in Mystery (the version which tries to flee from you) will move in the following situations:

1. The Organist ist on Père Lachaise. One investigator is on Le Marais. There are no other investigators. Will The Organist move to the Canal Saint-Martin or will he stay at the Cemetery? (I would say he stays because the Canal is not 1 location farther away from the nearest investigator.)

2. The Organist ist on Père Lachaise. One investigator is on Le Marais, the other on Canal Saint-Martin. There are no other investigators. Same question. (Again, I'd say he doesn't move.)

3. The Organist ist on Père Lachaise. There is one investigator each on Le Marais, Canal Saint-Martin and Père Lachaise. Same question. (In this situation I'd say he does move because he can get 1 location farther away from the nearest investigator who is on Père Lachaise. He is indifferent if he goes to Canal Saint-Martin or Le Marais because both are locations with investigators.)

Are my thoughts correct?

(Reminder: Le Marais, Canal Saint-Martin and Père Lachaise are connected to each other; Père Lachaise has no other connections.)

Quote

Forced - At the end of the enemy phase: If The Organist is unengaged, move it 1 location away from the nearest investigator (to a location with no investigators, if possible). If it is engaged, disengage it instead.

Hey hey. Hopefully I can help. As far as I understand it, here's how it works: you choose an investigator as 'nearest' to the Organist, and you try to move the Organist away from that investigator. So in this question 1, yeah, Canal is no further, so the Organist stays put.

In this question, you choose which investigator is nearest and try to move the Organist away from them. As Le Marais & Canal St-Martin are both no further away for the Organist, the Organist stays put.

Yep, you've got it. In this instance, nearest is on the same location as the Organist, so the Organist opts to move away. If one of the Canal and Le Marais were empty, the Organist would move there. In this case, neither is, so investigators decide (with lead investigator having the final say.

As I say, that's my understanding of it - but let's see if others have things to say!

Remember there are two versions of the Organist. One that you try to hunt down and one that tries to hunt down you.
