So those people who played with proxies already have an idea on how long the game will take in the end in average on a fullsized table ?
Duration of a game ?
Right now a good 2.5 hours. But I suspect once people get more familiar it’ll go down to 2 hrs
I wouldn’t trust any estimates at the moment as the people trying to play already are missing the specifics of a lot of rules.
2 hours or less sounds about right. Depends on how focused on the game you are too. Played a 500 point game on TTS the other night which took a little over an hour. But I think the game will flow a little easier with models in hand.

Depends, in part, on the size of the armies used I should think.
Max turns is 6, maximum number of units is (at launch) 1 commander, 6 corps, 3 support, 2 heavies.
given the point cost of Vader and the AT-STs (200 and 195 base) it wouldn’t be possible to hit the unit cap for all types in an 800 point game. Let’s say 1 heavy (200ish), 1 commander (200ish), 4 corps (160ish) and 2 support (160ish)
That’s 8 activations per turn (before we factor in any unit losses or special cards) each with two actions (before factoring suppression or special cards), for a total of 32 action decisions per round, and 192 over the course of 6 turns.
If the player takes no more than 30 seconds per action (1 minute per activation) a game would last 96 minutes (1 hour and 36 minutes). That is going to have som variance as some players are able to plan properly during their opponents turn and execute in seconds, while others might dither and waste everyone’s time.
If it got bad, I’d probably institute a timer cutoff where the player loses their remaining actions for a unit if they took longer than, x seconds to decide. That or, ala chess, each player gets 1 minute per unit per turn in a clock and then it’s up to them to ration their time accordingly (ie with 8 units each player would have a clock starting with 48 minutes for a game, running out of time would mean forfeiting the match).
