Arkham Horror LCG full digital game

By Veve7, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

If FFG/FFI decides to make an Arkham Horror full digital game, but not a 1-1 copy, what mechanics do you think it would have?

I think it will be closer to Mansions, Eldritch or Arkham Horror the board game than the card game.

I would lean towards Eldritch Horror in so much as its a thematic story, but not as tightly scripted as MoM. This would make it more playable.

I think you would investigate locations, gain equipment and fight monsters.

Also since its part of the Arkham series, it probably would have skill checks. Since random success/fail (dice/token draw) is not as engaging on a computer as it is on a tabletop, I suspect that they would either go with resource management to meet a skill level (how important is it that you make this check versus future ones) or something like Elder Signs token manipulation system.

Either that or a FPS or a MMRTS game.

Any kind of game would be thinkable with the AH IP, from match-3 timewasters and point-and-click adventures to MMORPGs and 3d shooters.

But if the digital LOTR LCG takes off, I guess we could see a digital Version of the AH TCG with simpler, streamlined rules…

I didn't realize that was a thing. That's pretty cool.

I have to agree. After playing Elder Sign on my phone so many times, I have zero interests to play it on a table. Its something about the sheer number of games you have played and the fact that your so use to playing it solo.
