No, I'm not looking at tournament winning here, but Sabine just looks fun to fly in a TIE Fighter. I've never done it. I'm also thinking she makes a great wingman for Jess Pava with flight assist, as they are able to maneuver around quickly. Of course, Sabine is not the optimal choice for the TIE Fighter, Rex is cheaper and more effective, but I'm going for a little bit of fun without being blown here.

I'm looking at:

• 23 - Sabine (TIE Fighter) - Intensity, Sabine's Masterpiece, Rey, Stealth Device (can't hit worth a dang, but Fel level of tokens without a stress)
• 28 - Jess Pava - Flight Assist Astromech, Autothrusters Integrated Astromech
• 20 - Ezra (Sheathipede) - Wired, R3-A2, Chopper
• 28 - "Blue Ace" - Flight Assist Astromech, Integrated Astromech
• 97 points total so far

Ezra really doesn't keep up, but if I don't have something like that I'm likely going to get pounded even in fun games. He's there to keep people honest. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Edit: Autothrusters are nice vs TLT because even re-rolls flunk sometimes, but I'll hold those points free for now... As noted, snap shot is wonderful on Ezra after all...

There exists no version of Sabine as silly or delightful as this one:

I had a friend who liked to fly the Sabine Attack Shuttle. He went Push the Limit, Kanan (or Kyle, I guess), and some sort of turret. That build would also fit on a TIE, but might be pricey. It's pretty sweet, though. PTL off the pre-move boost/barrel roll into perhaps another move action, a focus, whatever. Execute your move and clear stress. Then, take another action. It's pretty easy to wind up with Focus/Evade every turn unstressed. Kyle gets you more focus, Kanan gets you white moves. Perhaps add also Targeting Computer. Almost surely on an Attack Shuttle, but maybe not on a TIE.

I kinda like the thought of say, just Trick Shot on a Sabine TIE. Pretty nifty as a 15 point filler. I've flown it once or twice, didn't accomplish much. But it's a 15 point filler...

Sabine's got such a fun pilot ability, I just wish she could fly a half-way reasonable ship. I mean, even an X-Wing would be so much fun. 25-26 points, close to Hobbie or Biggs, with an Elite upgrade...

That cloaking Sabine looks bizarre, @Sekac. I might have to put that on the table casual night for the reactions sometime.

It's very bizarre, but it actually kinda works. Rolling 7 or 8 green dice with an evade just feels good. Although the first time I ever tried this I still took one damage while rolling 7 with evade. And that was from 2 hits!

But she never died after that-she's just too squirrely. The trickiest part is what to pair her with that won't turn off lone wolf (and Finn) all the time. I've done Heragator before and that was fun.

I've also been meaning to explore M9-G8 on the sheathipede so you don't have to worry so much about friendly proximity.

But the possibilities between moving 11 base lengths forward or 5 laterally in a turn is just overwhelming.

Probably because Kanan gives you 10 stress-removing maneuvers (1/2/3-turn, 3-bank, 4/5-straight) instead of just the left/right 3-banks... or lets you pull someone ELSE'S stress if they need the help instead (i.e. you dialed green).
