Talking "no weapons", I think it will be "no obvious weapons". I do not think that the "kingpins" would be who they are if they wouldn´t think about a little "ensurance".
Limiting the number of persons attending (to the number of pc´s, in fact!) should be fine. Of course, both sides will still have people "outside" who are not to approach the church "or else."
