I mean, is it crass to copy someone's art style? Of course, yeah. But there isn't anything illegal about it - the best possible case he could make is if there was a specific process he used to make the images which he patented and which process Disney used without permission. That would be grounds for a suit, but...ummm...odds that he did that are going to be 0. ?Maybe if he trademarked the idea of using characters in text knock-out as his specific style? Not sure that'd fly with the trademark office, though, as it would have to be something uniquely his that is his consistent 'brand' identification. And, again, not the case. So...

Best you can get here is "really tacky".
