How Many Tokens to Buy?

By Stasy, in Star Wars: Armada

So I'm looking at buying some aftermarket defense tokens, and I'm kinda stumped at how many I'll actually need to buy. I tried to do an average spreadsheet but I'm not entirely sold on it's results. (Operator error?)

Anyways, what's everyone's opinions? I'm getting the gut feelings that at least 8 of each is probably a good start.

I'd go ten of each, except contain, you probably only need five of those, unless running multiple Interdictor or ISD.

You may want more braces than that, depending on how many ace squadrons you usually fly. The place I bought mine from, they were sold in packs of 5. If I remember correctly, I bought 3 of Brace, 1 each of Scatter and Contain, and 2 of each of the others, and it worked out right for everything I've flown so far

do you fly rebels or imperials? I've found that I still build 6+ ship builds with Rebels way more than I do with Imperials

I mix between both factions. Typically it's 4-5 ships, and I haven't done a lot of aces recently.

Assuming 400 point fleets, you want to buy all in one order, and don't want to plop down cardboard even for some extreme fleets, then my practical upper-bound guesses are:

6-8 contain? I could imagine 4x HH and an MC75, for example.

10-12 evades? 2x CR90's, 2x MC30's, and 2x GR-75's is 10 evades right there.

6-8 redirect? 4x MC30 on the high end requires 8x redirect, but most double-redirect ships are on a Large base.

14-18 braces? 14 braces may just be able to cover the squadrons for a Rebel ace bombers list, not counting ships. 8x brace aces, GH, Yav is 19 brace tokens, although I think 7x brace aces is closer to the practical limit.

10 scatter? 6 scatter tokens may just cover the squadrons for an Imperial ace fighters list, plus maybe 3x more for flotillas.
