Worlds: IA is now a Wednesday-slotted game

Just curious how much this trip costs for

those coming from out of country? All including.

In all seriousness, if he was holding up a can from Surly Brewing Co., it would be the perfect representation of every trip to Worlds I've undertaken.

It's not a journey to Roseville without lunch at Surly. Enjoy responsibly.

For me the flight alone would be a minimum of 800€, since I'm not willing to have a 10 hour layover each way to save 150 bucks. So all told in USD, if I can split hotel costs, it would probably be in the $1200-$1300 range.

If you can find people to split, Air BnB might be something to consider, although now that I write this, i realize transportation may be an issue at that point. Well just a thought.

Yes. I remember being 2-0, drinking a Surly on the break, and then ending up 2-2. I blame the IBUs.

Yeah last year I got an Airbnb for four people and it was $90 per person for four nights.

Looking into another this year for at least seven people. We may have some room gotta talk more with the group but if someone’s interested send me a pm and we’ll see what we can figure out.

I’m thinking we’re only gonna be getting the Airbnb for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Heading home Friday morning. And it’s all assuming we can get tourney tickets. But we’re all only playing IA and side tourney.

Hrmm 1200-1300 actually isn't as expensive as I thought it would be for three full days of gaming. In Canadian dollar re dos that's about 1800. But ... I'd still rather go fishing lol. One day I might have to check it out.

I've looked into AirBnb and such rental places, for those of you who've done it and fly in, do you also rent a car? The ones I've seen are quite a ways away from FFG.

We’re driving :) and gas and our car is a whole lot cheaper than a bunch of plane tickets :) if we end up having some extras we might be able to swing some airport pickups. Our Airbnb last year was about ten mins from FFG.

Turns out the wedding I thought was on Friday is actually on Sunday. Ladies and gentlemen, I am coming to Worlds!

I'm debating it. I have the time off now. I may fly in Tuesday night and out Thursday night. I used to be a big X-wing guy and play both at worlds, but now it will be all IA. I like my games to be actual star wars games.

I'm penciling it in -- I love IA and really want to make the time for it. Mid-week vacation days are actually easier for me, since my "day job" is at a church. Star Wars has terrible theology, but great miniature gaming!

I would love to make it mid-week, but my schedule just got extra complicated until the end of June.

Would there be any interest in an unofficial tourney on Saturday? I don't know if FFG would make room for us in the Radisson but maybe we could find someplace to IA it up and watch @pheaver on the X-wing Top 16 livestream.

I am looking into booking my flight, but would need someone to share a room with, so is anyone else looking or having space available.

Planning to arrive tuesday afternoon/evening and leaving friday morning afternoon

+1. I'm staying Tuesday - Sunday, but happy to find my own place for Friday - Sunday if there's a large group airbnb I can join for the first few nights.
