I sat up when I saw the Lucas arts logo. Had no idea it was this close

I think I’m excited for everything in this movie besides Han himself... is it just me that thinks anyone besides Harrison Ford just can’t pull off Han?

I’m going to see it regardless and hope he nails it, I’m just... worried...

Eldrich or whatever his name is was the wrong choice. However that sure looked like Leebo in that one shot and that whole trailer looked slick as ****.

It may end up being a trainwreck, but at least it looks sharp visually.

Ohhhh ISD coming through the "clouds"...

This one has me quite worried, there has been no buzz and the news has been more negative then other movies. They reportedly had to hire acting coaches for the lead. Star Wars is known for some bad acting but not Han. He may not have been the best choice for their first origins story.

Lots of valid concerns about this one, but I can give Ron Howard the benefit of the doubt.

This was definitely a nice thing to wake up to on Monday morning (I'm in Western Australia). Here's hoping we'll get a couple of new capital ships out of the film, even if they probably won't be Rebel ships.

I've always been a big fan of Ron Howard's films, but I was disappointed with In the Heart of the Sea. Great story, but the cinematography was quite poor. Most of the shots of the deck of the ship and characters were obscured by objects in the foreground, so you never quite got a sense of how small the ship was compared to the vast ocean. Master & Commander did a much better job depicting a ship at sea. It made me wonder how much control the director has over cinematography and if the film was hobbled by a small budget.

Anyway, let's hope Solo is a return to form.

I expect nothing from the film except for merchandising options for Armada and X-wing, and we've already seen the TIE Tumor, so that's encouraging.

Also can't get any worse than the Resistance/Rebellion scenes in Last Jedi.

Also that “what’s your name” followed by the title made some hairs on the back of my neck go properly up

That officer interviewing Han might be just Tobias Beckett.

If so, we may be seeing a lot more of the first imperial officer with a sense of humour...

I’ve heard it mentioned that it could be the nebula clouds surrounding Kessel, which I think is more likely. It is a very cool shot nonetheless.

I've been watching news on this through YouTube. Apparently Tag and Bink (EU comic characters) could be in the movie.

The one thing that gives me some hope is Rogue One. There also was major reshoots and some negative buzz around the movie prior to release. But that ended up being one of the best new SW movies to this point (Opinions do vary).

That being said, this movie has had a lot of problems being made. I do have faith in Ron Howard, but I'm not expecting a masterpiece.
