Or is that asking too much from one ship?

And a crew slot.

Probably. I'd be looking at one specific purpose.

My excitement for the inevitable Solo X-Wing products just went up about 40,000 notches now that it looks like the Falcon may be Imperial.

Scum tears would be soooo delicious about this but not holding my breath.

It has to have a very niche role to explain not being seen in any canon source prior to this movie.

Similar to how the striker was mainly an atmospheric craft to defend bases and installations.

The Falcon doesn't look like an Imperial ship to me. It just looks like a new ship.

I demand an Imperial Falcon, just for that reason alone.

Keep in mind that we get a full trailer tomorrow, so we'll probably get more shots of everything.

Badass shot of a Star Destroyer through clouds

That shot was amazing. Say what you will about the Disney Star Wars movies, they at least give you some badass shots.

It would be hilariously ironic that the ONLY faction to not have solo and a falcon would be scum.

My first instinct is a new version of the TIE/gt, a stopgap between the regular fighter and the actual Bomber, but it is just one neat shot in a short teaser.

Hopefully somebody actually passed FFG some decent pre-release materials this time, if it ends up put out around the film it has to be already well into production, as Solo is only like 4 months away.

I've generally hated Disney's movies, but I'll agree with that. The dogfight over Takodana in Ep. VII was awesome.

That'd be great. I'm for that.

Don't waste it!

A ship with TLT, bombs, AND regen? That would be a terrible idea. Like FFG would ever release a ship that broken... Silly.

I thought I read something about that new TIE assisting the range troopers in searches.

Any chance you can get the link?

SO EXCITED!!!

Yeah, my opinion of the movie has greatly increased.

I'm going to do an FTS Gecko and save my last post for something big.

I wonder what this will turn out to be? Scout, bomber, or command and control ship?

TIE trainer? The extra little pod could contain an instructor.

This. What does irk me about Disney is when they make movies set in OT time-line and make new ships that no one has seen before or will ever see again past these single points in time. What we have here is a GOLDEN opportunity to showcase badass old school pilots and ships, justifying why these organizations used these ships for war.

In XWM terms it is a perfect opportunity to fix some of the catastrophic screw ups of game development that plague early releases so they aren’t garbage. In short, Stop making **** up! If that’s what you want do it in another time-line. People defend tech doesn’t change much in 50 years for SW. Where did all this crap go if thats the case.

I love the standalone movies set in the OT timeline because that’s the era of Star Wars that I grew up with. However, it is a bit silly that there are all these ships popping up in them that we never see again.

Understood. However makes perfect sense to me. It is a big galaxy, far far away.

Why is everyone saying Imperial Millennium Falcon? It was owned by Lando before Han and Lando obviously takes care of his stuff based on what we see. Regardless of what they do with Hans story, its confirmed like in legends that he will be part of the Imperial Navy first and thus no matter how it plays out he will win the Millennium Falcon after he abandons the Imperial Navy in which he then works as a smuggler for Jabba the Hutt. There will probably be a gap between ditching the Imperial Navy and winning the Millennium Falcon / becoming a smuggler (or becoming a smuggler and then winning the millennium falcon) but regardless how it plays out I do not see how a Imperial Millennium Falcon could happen as Han acquires if after he ditches the Imperial Navy in every possible storyline.
