in-app missions

By Belvasques, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Is it my impression or the NPC's that are entering the campaign are from the basic box and the expanding packs just?

Characters from big expansions are still not appearing in the campaign, right?

Thanks

FFG has not announced that allies from outside of wave 1 would be available, so you should assume they are not.

I played a mission last night and got the clawdite shapeshifter, snowtroopers, heavy stormtroopers and had Emperor Palpatine show up of all people.

Were you able to use the Shapeshift ability? It looks very thematic!

I always got the street rat form, and whenever I activated the the Clawdite there were either no dead figures for her to morph into or just Probe Droids and Officers so sadly it hasn't happened yet, but I really like the idea they came up with for the Clawdite.

Palpatine was pretty nuts, he straight-up attacks with one of the Heroes, and he can attack with his own troops like an officer, and he can Lightning people from 4 spaces away IIRC.

I also really like the heavy stormtroopers too, feels like they took some inspiration from Drokatta's shrapnel ability.

I had a mission yesterday with elite Clawdite, and he was in senator form at start, and then mprphed into stormtrooper. I also had IG-88 in the same mission.

If I get this right, the Clawdite was getting two activations per turn : Once as a senator and then later as a stormtrooper when the stormtrooper group activated. That's a very nice thematic rule that should have been implemented with the classic campaigns. That could make for a great house rule though.

I think it was exactly like that (thb, he was supposed to activate as a member of other group, it happens that the other group were stormtroopers, but it could be royal guards instead...). And I agree it is nice house rule, but may be hard to balance without overpowering Clawdites
