There are situations, where the group as a whole let's say, offends a hutt gangster boss by stealing his ship. How do you handle the obligation? A value of x for each Character? A higher value of y for the group as a whole?

I'd be tempted to give it its own allocation, as if it were another pc, and just call it group obligation on your table.

That’s how it shows up in OggDude’s GM Tools.
So not 5 obligation for each npc (resulting in 20 for the whole group @ 4 players) but 5 obligation for the group as a whole.. Makes a great difference

Exactly. You set the size. My group's just happen to be at 5. (Other than the one that Osimiri's player took at 20, which stands to reason; it's an Imperial bounty, and she's an escaped test subject.)
