APTs for Days

By Belryan, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Looking for advice on a fleet I'm planning to bring to a tournament. I'm a very new and inexperienced player, but this seemed like a fun idea. I'm not sure what objectives I should be bringing, but these seemed fairly safe.

MC75 Ordnance Cruiser (100 + 64) + Commander Sato (32) + Damage Control Officer (5) + Ordnance Experts (4) + Hardened Bulkheads (5) + Electronic Countermeasures (7) + Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) + External Racks (3) + Aspiration (3)

Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36 + 8) + Ahsoka Tano (2) + Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) + Task Force Organa (1)

Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36 + 8) + Hondo Ohnaka (2) + Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) + Task Force Organa (1)

Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36 + 6) + Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) + Task Force Organa (1)

Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36 + 6) + Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) + Task Force Organa (1)

Green Squadron (12) HWK-290 (12) 3 x A-wing Squadron (3 x 11) Z-95 Headhunter Squadron (7)

Most Wanted

Planetary Ion Cannon

Minefields

I found task force organa not enough for the hammer heads long range crits. I would suggest finding room for ordnance experts and disposable capacitors if you can.

I wouldn't take planetary Ion Cannons or minefields. Solar Corona would be good.

No? I mean, at long range it's 1 die (red changed to black), plus 1 for Concentrate Fire, and Organa lets you re-roll two dice.

At close range, it's maximum four dice. Obviously Ordinance would be better, but Organa is so much cheaper.

I was going to run this with a Pelta as the Command Ship but then I found the MC-75 at my local retailer and couldn't resist, so I'm tighter on points.

My thought for Minefields is that I could leave a bunch of the asteroids in his or near his deployment zone, then the mines, and then there would be less obstacles to obscure my long-range one-die crit fishing Hammerheads.

Ion Cannon could be negated by enemy Strategic, of course. I do like Solar Corona, would help my survivability.

You don't want to give your opponent a potent weapon with minefields if they have strategic.

I found I ended up wanting Organa on the first to fire so often. Maybe add ordance experts on the first one? Also its when they get in close and your rollign 3 to 4 black dice ordance experts helped so much.
