Strategic advisor and Interdictor

By Darth Max, in Star Wars: Armada

Hey guys,

I know the strategic adviser thread died a while ago, but I wanted to remark something...

Say I have a list with 2 ISD (one with strategic advisor) and an interdictor (with Title).

This still gives me 5 activations with an ISD finisher:

1. ISD first Hit

2. Strategic Advisor skip

3. Interdictor (refresh SA card)

4. SA skip

5.ISD #2

Humm ouch or not?

Not. Strategic Advisor can only be put on a Large base ship.

And interdictor title only refreshes a card equipped to the interdictor.

hum, reading it I think you're right. I've been reading that entirely wrong since forever. it doesn't really matter because I don't really like interdictors and have never used one but I'm disappointed about the one title on a ship i already consider over cost.

Oh I see the mistake I made... I read: "you may exhaust this card to ready 1 other upgrade card equipped to this ship [as in the first ship that is mentioned to activate] "...

Woupsies, Still pretty lethal as you can choose any ISD to go as 4th activation, yet keep a ton off firepower on activations 1 and 2.

That Interdictor is really fun to have onboard inside a corellian campaign for grav shift reroute and other shenanigans.... Probably not a competitive ship for tournament play, but I only play casual and cc anyways since I work on weekends

Worst part is I've played it in my own fleet before... And I played it as it is supposed to work, just really had a brain fart there.

Too be fair, I haven't read that card in over a year :P I REALLY don't like the interdictor, it has all of the problems the vic has plus less fire power. Of course it's more a support ship but paying 1/4 of your army cost for a ship that's there to "support" is pretty meh, I find an ISD to "support" far more efficiently for nearly the same cost.

HIE's really help give the ship a bit more hitting power. I know I'm willing to try and work with it again.
