You're nobody. But not to me. Steel Squadron February!

By BiggsIRL, in Star Wars: Armada

I like to imagine you didn't look at the result before you finished it.

I wrote it before I went to sleep, but forgot to post.

Well, I was going to do a Green Knight vs Karneck preview, but seeing as they went and scheduled their game before the previous round was even over, they only get this half assed product for the sake of completion:

:P

We had little choice. It was pretty much now or never...

Gentlemen: now that we have more upgrades that either improve ships' defenses or improve their anti-squadron attacks, what are your thoughts on going squadronless? Do you think this may become a viable option? Or are we looking at a repeat of Force Z off of Singapore?

That's a nifty little fleet, certainly is fun to play 1 ship armada!

Thanks! It certainly feels odd only having that one ship out there, but the payoff when you call in the cavalry is excellent.

I'm likely about to venture into this territory. Stay tuned. I still need to get through my Madine post-mortem before I venture into my new crackpot theories.

I wasn't sold on Jyn over OE on the HH, but you might have sold me. With racks instead of a crit effect the double isn't absolutely necessary, and the expected damage is pretty good even without it.

Before this game my feeling was that OE was likely better than Jyn, but I wanted to try her out. With the deployment shenanigans from Raddus/Profundity you should be able to get Jyn somewhere meaningful most of the time. Obviously one game isn't everything, but Jyn has a lot of potential in this fleet at least.

So I'm not sold on Jyn over OE, but I am definitely intrigued.

What if Raddus was on Profundity instead with Jyns Garels letting you Raddus a large ship pretty much anywhere?

That is on my list of possibilities to explore. My concern with this fleet is that Profundity isn't quite as durable as Defiance and I would be more nervous with it as the only ship. But I will be trying that at some point.

But yeah, it gives you some pretty amazing deployment options that way.

My wife and I just got back from seeing it. Scheduling around work, arranging babysitting, etc. It can be tough.
