It's clearly Magic Princess Squinty-Face. Don't act like you don't know.

What part of SECRET Society don't you understand?!?!?!
LOL Ok, my bad for posting it that way.
Looking at converting The Morrow Project.
Fnord
Maybe this can spur thoughts for more than myself.
When converting, what are absolute must have? Good to haves? and Meh?
I don't know the setting. To start a conversion, I would say begin with Archetypes and Careers. See if there are any important aspects of the setting that require some new Talents and create those. Build some weapons/armor/gear. If there is magic, think about how best to apply the magic system to the game world. Is the free form magic in the book good enough? Do you need to create specific spells, and if so, can you do it with the magic in the book?
Try to keep the flavor of the setting, not the mechanics of the old system.
I don't nothing about this. What that symbol means?

I don't know much about the Morrow Project, but from what I do know, you may want to check out the Resources link and see the Fallout mod that has been done. It might make a good starting point for you.

It’s the in-game insignia for a group called the Morrow Project. The Morrow Project RPG was originally published back in the 1980’s, and recently had it’s 4th Edition published through a kickstarter by Timeline, Ltd.
From the Timeline website:
QuoteOne hundred and fifty years after the fall of civilization, the members of the Morrow Project wake to a changed world. Without the modern transit and communications infrastructures, distances that once took hours, now take weeks, and news that once traveled in milliseconds now takes months to arrive, if ever. This new world is characterized by tiny hamlets of simple daily existence awash in a sea of barbarism and anarchy. The Morrow Project could not prevent the coming catastrophe, nor did they have the resources to help everyone immediately. It was possible to help with the rebuilding, but even this was a massive undertaking. Plan became action and over the years many well-trained teams were cryogenically frozen in hidden bunkers to emerge at the time when their resources and help could do the most good.Intended to be part of an organized plan to rebuild America, your team finds that they have missed the 3-5 year expected wake-up call. Now, far outside the original time frame and unable to contact the rest of the project, they must start alone the process that was intended for thousands.Isolated in a world where the war is only a distant legend, your team must rely on their ingenuity, training and each other to carry out the general orders of the project:1. Assist the population in rebuilding America whenever possible.2. Reunite with the bulk of the Morrow Project forces.3. Survive!
The rpg has a lot of good source material, but the system itself is a bit too “crunchy” for my tastes. Hence the consideration of a Genesys conversion.

Thanks.
That’s a lot of meaty information in the conversion that I think would be highly applicable.
Kind of like twilight 2000 which is after a nuclear exchange, your unit is on survival mode while trying to get back to the united states , then if you manage to get back to the states the mission is survive and try to rebuild while dealing with warlords and their bands which can be thrown into morrow project.
Yes i am that old to remember both of these old games but i loved twilight 2000. Never played morrow project.
Yep.
T2K was fun, especially when finally got to the revised versions. I only got to play a couple games of both T2K and Morrow Project, but MP drew my attention because of the M.A.R.S -1 / Landmaster (Damnation Alley) / Ark-II (Saturday morning kids show) Vehicle.

Looks good. Like people already said, there are scenarios with that post-Apóc stuff already, which can help you a lot with that.
I had made a homebrew system for a Morrow Project game a few years ago (it was a mashup of Monster of the Week and Fate Accelerated) but flopped most likely to the ruleset being too light for the players at the time who were coming from GURPS 4th edition. In fact, it was a GURPS 4th version of MP that got me wanting to make my own. I'm an old GURPS aficionado but my love was for 3rd and I just couldn't get into 4th with all the dials set to 9, as they were for the GURPS MP game I sat in on. It was just too overwhelming when the character sheet was four pages long not including gear.
But I also am on the hunt for using Genesys for all kinds of genres and game worlds and going back and mining my earlier efforts of MP would fit right in with an overall easy adaptation of the Genesys rules.
With my initial MP game, I spent literally days in searching for artwork and pics of modern firearms — which was one of the biggest gripes I had about the original MP game overall; the reliance on then-current weapons lists weren't really all that 'current' nor were any weapons particularly advanced even for the time (80's and 90's).
So, fluff-wise, I went with more bullpup style assault rifles and sniper rifles, multi-tube shotguns or autoloading shotguns, the FN 5.7mm weapons and similar weapons and bullet types, oh and the expanding cartridge-firing guns as well as caseless ammo; I went with gauss guns or railgun technology on the vehicles... stuff like that. Lots of advanced optics built in to helmets and the most advanced camouflage patterns I could find to put on some of the more advanced load bearing equipment (I think I may even have had a somewhat crude exoskeleton to wear). I had a small town pretty much statted out which was located a small landing strip (the in-world reason for the MP bolthole to be located nearby was to be able to airlift equipment/personnel into and out of the area as well as to explain 'strange' movements and 'odd' construction projects) but also the community was there for when the MP personnel (the PC's in this case) woke up, they had other humans to interact with to drive drama as well as provide reasons for the PC's to do stuff and make long-term decisions. I had made several adventure arcs and had a blast designing NPC's. My style was to roll quasi-randomly for who/what/where and only after the PC's 'bumped into' an NPC would I generate some stats and a quick background as well as a disposition towards the PC's and then I'd hunt down pictures of the new NPC's to show to the players.
It's too bad that game was so short lived. It was great fun.
But anyway, with Genesys, man, all that stuff is so easy to make. It's a joy to create gear, as far as I'm concerned and I thank you for reminding me of it!
Since I familiarized myself with Morrow Project, It does sound quite cool concept. If you go by the ideas for Archetypes in the CRB, you could easily have Science (your Intellect types), Scout (these would be your Agility types), Heavy (the brawn types), you could easily throw in Psion (your Willpower types}, Criminals (Cunning types), and Faceman (your Presence types) then I would do all the classes. I don't know which Edition you would be taking your conversion from as you ask me, all four editions look like they are the same as they did not make the system simpler which what usually happens with new Editions, they just updated the cover mainly.
You could also get more ideas from Twilight: 2000 since like I said earlier they are kind of like the same, but Morrow Project is a Concept from a Character in the System, while Twilight is a combat units survival and getting home in one piece, you could also get some ideas from the Genesys fallout supplement that is on the forums. I could give ideas as I am already involved with a couple of conversions myself and running my Star Wars game as well.
I am a big Morrow Project fan having played it back in high school in the 80s. It is the only gaming stuff I saved from those days. Just got back into gaming over the last year and started a MP campaign as an alternate to our usual Pathfinder sessions. On playing I realized that the crunchy yet missing tons of needed rules nature of the game does not suit my gaming group the well and actually breaks the mood. They seem to be growing on the setting and many of them (but not me) have experience with the FFG Star Wars system, so porting TMP to Genesys seems like a good idea.
I look forward to seeing what ever you work on and will post up anything I develop. I plan to post up some ideas on the only active TMP forum ( http://forum.juhlin.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4 ) and see if they burn me as a heretic.
