Lanwyn is ranged and black arrow is an item. So is doesn't need anything else than the new heroes. Very interesting :). Thanks for the tip!
Rhovanion Heroes
I like the synergy of Spare Hood and Cloak and Long Lake Trader.
If you move an attachment from one character to another using Long Lake Trader, does it stay exhausted? If it refreshes the attachment, I’m sure there will be some way to abuse it.

My own personal golden rule is to always pick the option that makes the game harder. In this case, the attachment would stay exhausted.

Nothing says to unexhaust it, so it would stay exhausted.

3 copies of it on bard the bowman is an instant kill for most enemies
Sadly it's restricted, so you're limited to two copies on Bard, and even that will come at the expense of Great Yew Bow, Firefoot, or Rohan Warhorse.
Oh, missed that, checked that it is not unique and not one per hero but missed the restricted keyword

It seems oddly placed. I almost missed it myself.

That’s true, but I just like the idea of putting a Spare Hood on say, a Snowbourn Scout, trigger the cloak and ready Beregond, say. Then you can move it back with the Trader for free readying next round.

It's interesting that more than one person made this perceptual error. It made me suddenly doubt the templating, but nope, the Restricted attachments that have eligibility requirements have always been worded this way. I suppose the Restricted being bumped to its own line may have thrown people, but it's not the first time that's happened either:

Perhaps you just wanted to attach 3x, lol.
While others might complain that Bow of Yew doesn't combo with Foe-hammer and Golin-cleaver, I for one think it makes sense
.
It non-bos with Sterner than Steel too. Basically I like the tactics requirement of triggering out of sphere effects by requiring a weapon to exhaust, but when you need to exhaust the weapon for something else you have decisions to make. (Which is fine.)

I dunno, this is basically what I would be doing with a bow:
I personally found bow of Yew combo with foe-hammer. A weapon for 0 that allow to do it fast is exactly what I want, it is not a big deal if I can't do it effect on the same turn. In fact having to choose make the cards even more interesting in games (less powerful but more complicated)

I'm more bothered by the fact it has nothing to do with the Ranged keyword, but I suppose that oddity dates back to Hands Upon the Bow and this is just a newer example.

Hands Upon the Bow requires ranged. Ranger Bow doesn't mention the Ranged keyword, but is only usable for damaging enemies in staging, a sort of range-y thing to do. And Ranger is only one letter off of Ranged....
None of the existing or spoiled Dale allies have ranged, so it's good that the new bow doesn't require it. Though I really think allies that have big old bows in their artwork really should have ranged!
Hi everyone.
In the french new of The Wilds of rhovanion (http://www.fantasyflightgames.fr/news/article/les_terres_sauvages_du_rhovanion)
there is a spoiler of the player cards with more text shown than in the english one.

If I translate correctly :
To Arms : 0 Event (Spirit)
Action : Choose an ally with a player attachment. Ready that ally.
Warrior of Dale :
3 0/2/1/3 Dale Warrior
Reduce the cost to play Weapon attachement on Warrior of Dale by 1.
Warrior of Dale gets +1 att and gains ranged while he has a player attachement.
The word player is hidden, but seems obvious.
I'm eager to see the spirit ally. Hope it will be a scout Dale ally.

Surely "attachements Arme" translates to "Weapon attachments"?
So with a 0-cost Bow of Yew the warrior becomes effectively a 4-attack ranged attacker -- however, his cost reduction doesn't come into play at all, since the bow is already free. If pocketwraith is correct and the discount is confined to weapon attachments, that applies only to Spear of the Citadel and Raiment of War -- Raiment of War for 1 would be nice, though. In a Dale deck he'd be 1/4/2/5 with ranged.

Yes sorry for the missing word. ?
Yes, Arme translation is Weapon.
It should read :
Reduce the cost to play Weapon attachement on Warrior of Dale by 1.
Edited by Valiko33I'm looking forward to this King Brand.
I like Elfhelm because he brings extra value to your Mount attachments. Rohan Warhorse, already a great card, now gives you +1 attack! Windfola, also good, now gives +2 willpower!
King Brand will do the same, adding a +1 willpower to the first attachment played on a Dale character. Hopefully we get a bunch of cool Dale characters this cycle. That will let me dust off some cards I haven't used in a while (or have never used). King Brand would nullify the Dark Knowledge -willpower effect, add temporary willpower to a Dale character with Born Aloft and an 'enters play' effect, or to Miruvor until you decide to discard it.
Wow. I haven't see the text of Warrior of Dale. I will have to test Dale deck now that we have enough cards to do so :).
