No, oddly, you're not. I won't hate on those that enjoyed it, but I can't understand how you did. To each their own though.

Last picture dump for the day, I promise. I've tried a couple of methods for painting/dyeing the light gray TIEs to match the blue-gray versions. Tried using a blue wash on the TIE Bomber that comes in the Imperial Veterans pack. I think it turned out well. Not a 100% match, but close enough for (Imperial) government work.
Do you mind giving the name of the wash/company that makes the wash? I really don't like the light gray of the Veteran's Tie.

Sure. It was "The Army Painter - Warpaint - Quickshade Blue Tone Ink" I watered it down to the consistency of a wash, about a 2/1 ratio of water/ink. Honestly, I probably should have done a 3/2 ratio, so it would be a bit more blue.

Maybe try their Mixing Medium. Should dilute/thin the paint without losing the colour too much.
Nice work!

Thank you kindly.
A little off topic, but since I'm the evil Emperor of this thread, here goes:
Between rounds of getting my bum kicked at the Campaign Against Cancer tournament in Independence, MO, I was fortunate enough to win some X-Wing Token/die themed coasters. They were made by 6by6arts.com, and were quite nice. I used the Focus coaster as a focus token my next game (and I actually won that one!) Since they were wood, I decided to try my hand at painting them, and this was the result. Decided to make them look like the game's dice that we all know and love so much.
Or, if you're like me, and you aren't entirely sure that your dice actually have white paint on all of them, this view may be more familiar to you

This reminds me: I've been meaning to do Action Bar and Upgrade Bar bumper stickers.
As I teased yesterday, I finally broke down and ordered a Clone Wars Y-Wing from Mel's Miniatures. After debating it back and forth, I settled on the red paint job, so it would match my other Clone Wars repaints. Here's the results:
And since I don't have a picture for a tease this time, let me just say that Grand Admiral Zaarin has arrived.
What material is that?

The Y-Wing was the "Frosted Ultra Detail" option.

Well, 2.0 and painting Legion have distracted me for a while, but oh well. Before the glorious news that the First Order was being split off into their own faction, I was toying with working in a few of their designs. That won't happen now, but I'm not crying.
I've hated the FO TIEs since the first trailer for TFA, so painting them was wone of my first steps. I didn't hate the red blood stripe, but felt that a "special forces" TIE should be a bit sneakier than having bright white bullseyes for wings. A simple black coat fit the bill nicely.
On the opposite side, I thought the all black TIE Silencer was boring and gave it the same Blue/Grey paint job that all TRUE Imperial TIEs should have.
Some will like these, most will hate them. Presenting the Yorik-Et, fresh from the Yuuhzan Vong coral gardens of Mel's Miniatures:
As they are alive, I tried to paint them similar, but all slightly different. Overall I think they turned out well, and were relatively easy to paint, and will probably be ordering more to use in an Invasion of the Aturi Cluster campaign.
You do you. Keep painting!

Thanks. I painted the whole thing with Testors Flat Dark Aircraft gray, and used "The Army Painter - Warpaint - Quickshade Blue Tone Ink" mixed with a lot of water. Let it sit in the mix for a while, then took it out to dry, then put it back in. Repeated the process until it was the shade I liked.
