I've found I enjoy repainting my models enough to want to warrant a new topic. First up is my Scum repaints. Worked with the head-canon that these were pirates that preyed/operated out of an asteroid field, and thus the camo made sense. (Or they're a merc unit, on a desert/rocky planet, who knows?)

I really enjoyed painting these and found that I liked the idea of painting a group of models with a common theme. Probably something I will continue doing (or rather, have already continued. You'll note that the C-ROC got an upgrade in addition to the new paint job, as these pirates/mercs wanted another turbolaser. The turret is from a Flames of War Lee/Grant tank pack, and I think it fits in quite nicely. Definitely looks bolted on, but that's kinda the point.

My most recent project was giving these a relatively simple repaint to make them look like their Clone Wars-era versions. You might be thinking that the ARC was already in its CW paint job, but I didn't like the scrapped off and scuffed up look it had. That's fine when it's supposed to be an obsolete 20-year-old warbird, but not a frontline fighter. So, the ARC, along with the Z-95s, got a fresh coat of paint.

Watered down black wash. I gave the whole fighter a repaint so it wouldn't look ancient, which resulted in the thing looking show-room new. Since this is Star Wars, and people whine if anything looks new, the wash gave it a veteran look without looking like 20-year-old surplus.

K-State-Wing: Since I'm currently a student at K-State, this repaint was practically a requirement. If only I could find a small enough Power Cat stencil or sticker for the Wings.... I mixed the paint, so it came out more violet than purple, but I do like how it turned out.

Those are almost the colors for UW. This is an acceptable status.

Seeing those E-wings paired up makes me WISH that FFG would do something to help those ships. They are just too dang expensive!

You and me both. I'd love to fly them together sometime, but they crumble too easily not to back them up with something. I'm hoping the E-Wing will eventually get a title or two like the TIE Defender did that takes them from being "meh" to awesome.

Been too busy playing and painting to remember to post up my repaints. As a temporary substitute, here's a picture of my first Epic game, including a few of my repaints in action.

Slowly getting around to taking some more *decent* pictures of my repaints. Here are my "Green Squadron" repaints. They rarely see table time, but that's just cause I have no idea how to fly Rebel ships.

Thank you. I wanted my fighters to vaguely look like they belonged together, though I do enjoy the occasional oddball.

Played a few pick-up games at the FLGS, and actually remembered to take a picture or two of my Defenders. I think they this one turned out better than the one above.

Few more repaints. My Scum pirate fleet has grown by a little bit, now with even more bombs!

With the Scurrg, I wanted it to fit in with the rest of the pilot fleet, but be sufficiently different to stand out. Went for a Desert Tiger Stripe look, and I think it turned out OK.

The only thing I'd tweak is the thickness of the tan outline. But Hot D*mn!

Ideally, I would have had the line be a tad bit thinner, but I think that's about the limit of my painting ability at the moment. (at least until I upgrade from Wal-Mart paint and brushes to better ones)

Anywho, more pictures:

A couple of simple repaints, I picked these up last week to try and psych myself up for finally watching The Last Jedi. Both Psyching myself up and the movie failed utterly, but I think the repaints turned out nicely. Extremely simple, but different than the standard Black One/Blue Squadron paint jobs.

SO good! I am a fan.
