The 1st Place team at Krayt cup had a Kanan Fenn player with FCS and he lost to a Sensor Jammer player
Is Sensor Jammer better than FCS on Kanan Fenn?
Depends on the nature of your opponent, I guess.
In the case of a mirror match, or any squad where there is 'one big gun' powered by tokens, then sensor jammer is crippling.
By comparison, against Expertise Wookies (for example), it will do precisely naff all, and in return will potentially take a big bite out of your firepower if you're left flinging unmodified red dice into a reinforce token.

Except that int he right squad, those unmodified dice will be modified anyway, by M9G8 and Rey.

I would say that if you have the points, yes, especially if you are running Maul+Ezra (or some other modification), where FCS is not necessary. Investing in defense in that case is going make the VCX even harder to take down, and it also helps your offense if people aren spending that focus on defense.

I thought that was the Arizona System open. Dee had FCS chopper and Steven played SJ Lothal. I wasn‘t aware that the exact same thing happened at krayt cup
@GreenDragoon - Yeah, the 1st Place team's Rebel player got behind in the damage race in the quazi-mirror. Everything begins to snowball at that point.
If you have the points to fit in re-rolls somewhere else, yes.

SJ Ghosts have been making the rounds. They won the Glendale System open, were runner up at the Chicago regional, and top 4 at the Top 64 Invitational. They're going to be everywhere for the remainder of the regional/system open season...
Also fun fact: 3/4 lists in the top 4 at the Invitational had Rebel Fenn

Hold on now, the team from Michigan called themselves "The 1st place team" the winners were the whitewalkers who did not have a kanan fenn on thier roster.
There are a ton of ways to not need fcs anymore on the ghost, m9g8 and maul being the main two, you get less burst damage from the primary though

Maul+Ezra is actually better for the primary than just FCS (it should be as it is also more points). Maul Ezra also has the advantage of being available at whatever target you want as long as you aren't stressed.
Expertise fat Rey absolutely dumpsters SJ Ghosts since she doesn't care in any way shape or form about the SJ or Fenn's ability and she easily wins that damage race. So in that matchup you're better of with the FCS.
But against most lists, provided you have rerolls from other sources then SJ is the more solid choice, especially when paired with HotCop Fenn.
