okay so I'm the Prophetess and I encounter another character in the Crown of Command,,,and casts a counterspell, but i don't do anything because it doesn't aftect the command spell. Am i able to draw another spell, even though the counterspell never hit a target?? I'm thinking the Prophetess, can do about anything she wants with spells, and should be able to cast the counterspell on nothing, and still be able to draw her card for playing her last spell. so whats the ruling on this?? I won the game with her, solely because I picked up healing, and won in a 3 player match, in which all 3 characters made it to the Crown of Command. Pretty fun game. My friends allowed me to do it,,and i won against a Ghonul, and Elf. Thanks a lot to all people who answer these questions. Other than that, it's one of the funnest games I've ever played!! My favorite character is an evil Menstrel!!!

All Spells need to be cast legally, meaning they have a legal target. Healing, you need a character who isn't at full Lives. For Counterspell, somebody (could be another of your Spells) needs to cast a Spell you then Counterspell, can't just cast it to get rid of it.

4) if you cast a Spell and immediately draw another thanks to Wand or Special Abilities, you can't use it in the same Turn you acquired it. Rules say: you can cast the number of Spells you had at the beginning of the current Turn". Or something like this.

well looks like i cheated. i guess the Prophetess would have had a harder time winning!!! hahah!!
