Tie Striker Adaptive Ailerons
The French one is a mistake. A nice "translation" error
Spanish version is like english one.
English one is correct
The Adaptive Ailerons card is displayed in the FFG Official English FAQ with the banks and straight maneuver icons, I'd go by that . Page 16 FAQ v4.4.1
....Mon Dieu.
Apparently I need to get some French Strikers!
(It's that infamous French TIE fighter pilot, 'Seigneur Loop'....no?.....I'll show myself out.)
Edited by Magnus GrendelI keep four of these cards in a vault. If they are ever ruled as legal, I'll make millions on ebay !
What makes the French translation optional? Doesn't "devez " mean "must?"

I think it's the maneuvers, rather than the text, that people are talking about. Ailerons forces you to make a one-speed straight or bank maneuver before your regular move... but the french version says one-speed straight or turn maneuver.
Is there a French specific FAQ that erratas this? Otherwise it's an official FFG product and I would not be able to argue against "do what the card says" because that is what the card says.

I'm tempted to try eBay'ing a copy or two just to mess with people.
Banks vs Turns: I don't know how I missed that before.
Edited by YakostovianI'm not sure it'd be brokenly good - unable to select a bank, you lose the 1 bank/3bank 'big sweeping turns' which are the striker's iconic move, but instead you get 1 turn/1 turn and a sort of white speed 1 talon roll.
It'd certainly be very different to fly!
It just means the French Strikers all have sticky controls.

Yes as i say in my previous post, with a link to the revised card in the web of official distributor for X-Wing in France.

That link is indeed a "corrected" version, but I was looking for a source from FFG. Could you link where this image came from?
I have no doubt that the intention was that all strikers be the same and I wouldn't fault a TO for denying the use of a misprint that alters the ability of a card.
In a way a misprint is similar to the 'rules as intended' vs 'rules as written' argument except that the intention is perfectly clear (should be the same as English and other translations) and the writing is equally clear (in this case the use of a logogram leaves no room for 'translation mistake', it's just the wrong image).

I'm sorry. The link where i find the revised card:

Errata "Ailerons Adaptables"
Awesome, thanks for the link @Arachneo !
Lookslike I cannot (in good conscience) take this to an official event, but I might still get casual night to go along with "French Strikers"

So the only option on the dial is a red 2 reverse?

Ha! Be nice... You might think it's a retreat, but then you get ambushed!

You are both giving them far too little credit. We all know France's retreats are far more organized than that. :-P
