Personally I'd be more impressed with them if they were posters of scenes from the movies that involved the units in the core box, as opposed to photos of the models. Anyone else feel like this is a "Oh **** we should do something for the pre-orders now that we have a March release" kind of thing?
Preorder posters
I'm not impressed because they're so small.

Posters look like trash to me. Also love the part where it says 'buy from your flgs to support them'

But buy from us for POSTERS!
They are an attempt to get some preorders on their site while not trying too hard to compeat with LGS partners.
its trying to serve two masters and I’d thus kind of worthless.
Edited by TylerTT8x11 is a piece of paper not a poster and it is a picture of miniatures........
Just stick to the plan and release as per given schedule. No need for shiny postcards with pictures of the minis we will already have
I know that Warlord games used to have exclusive minis you could ONLY get by ordering from their webstore to accompany the various books they sell. These days those models are available at some FLGS with preorder. Regardless, an exclusive model to go with a miniature game seems to be a better incentive than a handful of full page professional photos of the official paintjob of some miniatures.

Glad you guys are pretty underwhelmed too. As someone that's not interested in this game at all I thought "pictures of mini's printed on glorified loose leaf paper? Cool..."
I actually thought it was going to be a game mat at first if you pre-ordered the full set or something and that would TOTALLY be worth it. /shrug, maybe the game won't be trash but posters aren't going to be a step in the direction of convincing me.
Meh.. its a freebie. Ill take it lol. I can hang them up in my 6 year old sons room, he loves star wars stuff.

I, for one, have a higher standard for free stuff I had no reason to expect. ![]()
As an aside, I have found myself curious as to what the OP kit swag will be, as well as what kinds of prizes to expect at regionals and conventions. The Galactic Qualifier and the X-Wing equivalent stuff is pretty rad. I wonder if they’ll do alt sculpt minis...
I would have done it differently.
Online orders likely have no game store to play in. Ship them a cheap fold out mat.
Ship stores a number of real nice neoprene mats so the store has a nice demo table and players who buy there can play on it.
I actually like the pictures, the lighting and scenic look of them is good. But really this is just a little bonus for anyone buying from FFG. It's not a big deal, i'm still sticking with my discount seller purchase.
It'd be nice if they shipped poster to your FLGS so preorders from stores would ALSO get those posters.
Wait so we are punished if we supported our local game store?
Local store purchases come with the benefit of not needing to recycle five sheets of paper

I don't mean to insult the photos, I agree they are very well composed photos, that's not my problem with them. As you say, it's not a big deal, but the article to me reads as FFG attempting to present it as a big deal.
The wall space in my house is shared with my wife, and while she is at least as big of a Star Wars lover as I am, these would end up in a drawer or thrown away.

Only if you REALLY want the handful of "posters" of the painted coreset FFG is including in the pre-orders from their site.
I'll take the pre-order discount from my FLGS thank you very much. How this is going to incentivize anyone I have no idea.
With what feels like a major delay in release, I fully expect release events with something worth while. Probably just alt art cards but maybe a unique mini.
Bahahahahahahaha who did this?
Mark: "Hey Brian, the only way I could get our money back from FedExKinkos for that Legion shipping delay was a credit for 3 million prints on high gloss copy paper."
Brian: "What the **** are we going to do with that?"
DudeFromAcrossTheRoom: "I HAVE AN IDEA!"
Could i get some stickers for my trapper keeper instead?

I would suggest that the most obvious choice are Alt Arts of the cards the Stormies/Rebels get in the expansion box that isn't in the core set.
They sure like to show off their pre-painted minis. You would almost think they were selling pre-painted minis but nope.
Out of principle I am opposed to pre-orders and will thus not be pre-ordering anything.

Fair enough. However I know I at least want the models as I can find a different rule set to use, and FFG does not always have the best record with providing sufficient product to stores, and having decently long reprint delays.
