Another Terrain Question

By CodyMac, in Star Wars: Legion

I backed a terrain system on KS with the intent of using it in Legion. This system allows you to build structures that are pretty tall. I haven't seen much to indicate that anything over elevation "height 1" matters in Legion. Has anyone else seen anything to the contrary? I guess I'm asking if all of the cool "buildability" of the terrain system will be wasted? I also just bought a 3D printer and am considering cancelling my pledge.

Thanks!

Look at the airspeeder article. Think that’s the only thing that may have mentioned movement over height 1?

I think I read that Luke can jump Height 1, also. What if I made a building that was what the table considered Height 2? What are the rules going up a long ladder to reach it? Any benefits from being up so high? Drawbacks other than maybe the time it took to get there and being vulnerable on the ladder?

Think we'll have to wait to find out.

I have plenty of terrain over height 1. Simple answer is we dont know. But logically, putting an objective up high creates a challenge. Challenge requires tactics. A board where every objective is on the ground and easily obtainable by any unit might feel more fast paced. But the board with a height 2 tower sporting an objective token up top will bring out a lot more strategy.

This is what I was looking for.... if the objective is up high, there's your incentive to go forth. Maybe I'll keep my pledge intact. Thanks!

Rule for objective placement might limit/restrict as well. Once we get the full rules we will all have better answers for terrain questions.
