Good morning

I will not be playing tonight. Too much going on at new house and since Saturday will be an all day tourney... gotta keep the family running.

HOWEVER I will stop in to the store and say hello and try to coordinate with anyone who wants to commute up to Seattle together on Saturday.

Registration starts at 8am. List verification and Round 1 starts at 10am.

I'd like to be there at 9am.

Also, parking near Seattle Center is a pain when you are parking for the entire day. We have to figure where to park up there too.

How’d it go?

John went 4-2, I went 3-3, I think (not sure) that Jonathan, Nathan, and Matt went 2-4.

I was 3-0 after three games. Then it was ALL down hill for me. John and I were both 3-2 going into the final game before cut to top 32 and we each had an outside chance of making it in if we tabled out opponents and had some other opponents ahead of us lose. I lost my last one (was my worst matchup for my list on the day) but John won his. But he did not make the cut due to many of the other 4-2's having better MOV on the day.

My "highlight" came early. The first match on opening engagement, I hit the opposing Miranda with a bomb (trajectory simulator) that did two damage. Then my Miranda threw a five dice Harpoon missile that rolled (after Target Lock and Guidance Chips) hit, hit hit, crit, crit. He rolled an evade. The remaining hits took the remaining two shields, the first crit was a major explosion that he rolled hit on and so he flipped over a direct hit, the second crit also revealed a direct hit. It was completely sick. Opponents Miranda gone on first attack by my first ship. I spent 25 minutes or so chasing down Nym (who was running) and trying to kite him to not get bombed in the process as I knew this was 100 kill points I would need later). My third game I was actually ranked high enough to be on the featured table and it was recorded and will be on youtube. I'm excited to watch it again. Thankfully I won that match as well. Of course after that I lost 3 straight to end the day. :-(

I wonder if anything fun is going on in March at the Matrix.
