BoShek bumpmaster experience anyone?

By flooze, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Fellow pilots,

I was wondering if there was some experience to be shared on using BoShek on a bumpmaster.

As I understand the bumpmaster concept, you use your intelligence agent and your own ingenuity to place this ship so you can block the other players ship(s), leaving them stranded and without an action (and maybe even ionized).

Using BoShek reverses this concept - you want to bump your bumpmaster into the other players ship. You trade your action for some screw up of your enemies fight plan (and he still gets his action) - is that worth it?

A side question: how does BoShek interact with advanced sensors? I think BoShek happens before the choice to use advanced sensors is made. It's that correct?

BoShek does indeed get to Shek the heck out of anybody before any Advanced Sensors nonsense. Because he reads "when an enemy ship you are touching activates", it means as soon as they activate they have to shift their dial. Then it would go to the reveal manuver section, which is what Advanced Sensors triggers off of.

I believe this means they can still use advanced sensors (you aren't stopping them from taking an action, just making them change their maneuvers), but only after you get to Shek their dial.

Best,

Cow

I used Boshek with Echo. Made the other players think twice about doing the normal "bump the phantom" strategy.
