The big Clone Wars thread.

By Kyle Ren, in X-Wing

I like the idea of a dice-rolling condition, but IMO Buzz Droids should be a mine token.

Discord missile (missile slot)
something something you may launch with a 5 straight template

Buzz Droid Payload (bomb slot)
something something you may drop with a 1 straight template

And condition would be: at the start of the combat phase roll a red die, focus is ion, hit is stress, crit is crit, action: discard

HERE WE GO BBY

i can't see FFG not monetizing this

I am super hype for this. I bought a third ARC-170 just in case we someday get a faction with generic ARCs. :)

Yes! Finally Clone Wars Saved! FFG would literally be printing money to jump on board with this. So cool! Bring on the Clone Wars for 2.0!

Yeah!!! Hopefully FFG sees this thread. I would totally buy it!

I know that there was a survey on these forums recently that showed the Clone Wars factions rating right around the middle of the pack of all the existing factions, so they'd definitely make money on these!

I literally was screaming by the time I was done with this trailer.

I was also losing it, "this better not be some fan made BS! It looks so real! Please be real!"

hahaha

I remember that, the show pushed the prequel era to awesomeness levels and now that Disney is making new content for Clone Wars it pretty much guarantees that FFG will incorporate it. I mean we got ships from every movie and Rebels show so far so I can't see them stopping that trend.

I'm really hoping large scheme to see Clone Wars make it into Armada and a Rebellion-style game along with X-Wing. The ships are perfect for it as the battles were epic and fairly evenly matched instead of a smaller force always assaulting a larger one as in the original and sequels.

God I just wonder how the fans will react if literally anything is wrong. Who will get the blame? Lucasfilm of old, or Disney? They're finishing up the last episodes/arcs.

Depends, how many unnecessary wolves show up? :P

Suppose there'll be at least one.

Still trying to track down Filoni's secret FA.

Sadly, I find Armada unlikely. That game is just too slow to release anything, adding more factions would just slow it down more.

Rebellion is the same way - it would actually arguably fit the Prequels better, but there's just too little time and resources to go around for FFG.

If X-Wing is the only game hit by this new Clone Wars thing, I'll count it as a huge success. :)

I mean if they are just finishing the unfinished episodes it should be fine.

Edit: I mean I'm still just in shock they are finally doing it.

This almost makes more sense for ffg to make prequel trilogy stuff before ST. As others have said there is almost nothing in the ST they haven’t already made and will require the tv show and new movie to get anything of value out of it. So I say screw the ST and start the CW roll out where the options are bountiful and yah know the ship capabilities are already good to go.

Instead we’ll prolly get half baked incomplete production drawing crap that we can all argue about being botched. Put the sequels on ice, indefinately is fine with me but at least awhile would be prudent. Long live the Republic!

Nah, filoni's wolves dont sparkle enough. ?

It's supposed to be a full 12 episode season, and given the figure in the transmission, I'm guessing it's the referred-to-several-times-but-never-seen Siege Of Mandalore.

Eeep. :)

And yeah - with the rebellion and resistance, and empire and first order separated out, I'd be surprised if we didn't see republic/CIS anyway. With this new material to ride on the back of too....should be awesome.

You're right, not enough bioluminescent sodding neon blue or green or god forbid red stripes on black fur or something.

There's one more FFG game that would benefit from Clone War material being added. Star Wars Legion would be a great place to add both GAR and Clanker factions and, if they do this, I'm in.

Oh, yeah, almost forgot that! I bought a decent amount of Wave 1 Legion and then sort of quit. I'm waiting until I get my clone army to get back in! :)

I'm currently staying away from Legion. The two starter factions, Empire and Rebels, just didn't generate any interest for me to play.

I'd love it, my wallet less so. I mean, it makes so much sense, people could even paint their clone troopers up as different legions allowing for more personilization of your minis.

Plus the separatist specialists and generic Jedi generals could be done up in all custom colors :)

We did eventually win! Good job guys!

The Republic will have 2 initiative 6 pilots, Anakin and Plo Koon in Eta 2 and Delta 7 respectively (with both at 2 force). Obi Wan will be initiative 4 with 3 force in a delta 7 and Mace will be initiative 5 force 3 in a LAAT. Captain Panaka pilots an initiative 3 N1. Some craft are piloted wholly by clones with others piloted wholly by jedi--very little mix. I am pulling these numbers out of my ****.
