So if there are pits can we throw them in like we could in WotC's SW minis?

Only if said pit is legal to enter with a speed 1 move. That's the key with this card. If there's terrain that requires an action other than a speed 1 move, then you wouldn't be able to perform it.

isn't using an exhaustable card an action? (or that symbol at the start of the card text means action) so it would have to be "Force Push - move - free attack"

I don't know, but this blog (https://swlegioncommand.wordpress.com/upgradecards/) lists all the cards and has "free action" with most of the force powers. So I assume they do not consume an action.

I wonder if you can do [move - move - force push - attack] with Vader to essentially engage (non vehicle) units at up to distance 3. Making Vader's threat range quite a bit more impressive than his movement 1 indicates. But since Vader's rule says "After you perform a move action, you may perform a free attack action" I'm not certain it's allowed. Granted the rule does not say "directly after".

i've been wondering the same thing (not restricted to vader though, luke's melee threat-range would be considerable). has there been any confirmation if this is possible or not?

i'm leaning towards "no", but only slightly, since timing of free actions is not specified. at least i couldn't find anything definite in the rules.

If the timing of an ability uses the word “after,” that ability’s effect occurs immediately after the described timing event has occurred. (page 11)

Quick question. As Standby triggers when an enemy unit "attacks, moves, or performs an action", can the move portion of the Force Push be used to trigger a Standby attack? For example, when pushing a unit out of cover or out of melee combat.

I really kinda wish you could use this on a friendly or hostile unit. It would give some play with getting some troopers a little extra movement.
